Exhaust tips for Magnaflows

Hey all, been searching for a while but haven't seen any answer for this.

I'm looking into buying some Magnaflows to replace my stock exhausts and I'm wondering how long the tips can be? I don't want them sticking out from the bumper, or not too much.

The model of Magnaflows I'm looking at is 11365 and I have a Type-S (if that makes a difference).

I've found a couple of them that I'm interested in, and the total length is 9.5" and 9.75" I think.

Pretty sure any exhaust shop should be able to cut and weld on your stock tips on your new mufflers. At least that's my plan when I upgrade, also helps that a family friend owns a shop

The magnaflows only have one outlet each, the stock Type-S have two, so that doesn't work. I need tips that have one inlet going to two oultets to keep the quad exhaust setup.

I see what youre talking about. Might have to customize your own, or just buy 4 single tips and have them cut and welded so you get a staggered look

Right I know what you mean Ive also researched this because Im not paying $1200 for a catback when I can make my own for 600. You can weld 2 single tips to your new mufflers is what I was saying and they can be welded in a staggered way so you would never know unless under the car

Yeah, that was my plan from the start.

I still need to know what size in length would be best though, as first stated. This is more aimed at those who actually have swapped their mufflers: what's the length of your tips?

Sure, but it's going to be a while. I'm looking into this way early to know everything I need.

Sorry to thread jack. I just ordered the 11365 mufflers for my base 04 TL as my stock ones have holes in them. This was cheaper then OEM mufflers. Will my stock tips fit these Magnaflows? I want to know before I take it to the muffler shop.

I would say that's it more than likely that you'll be able to use them since most exhaust tubing and parts are the same whether it's a base or S.

Just bend down and measure, pretty sure it's going to be 2.25.

Not 100% sure though (like 90%), that's why I said to measure.

Ok so still have no answer to my original question. Could someone who actually has installed Magnaflows on their car with the same kind of twin outlets on each chime in?

Don't want to buy tips that will stick out way too much. Or would the #12138 or #14223 be better options than the #11365 since they already have dual outlets? Is the sound the same, even though the size is a bit different?

You can buy the muffler you want and the tips. The shop you take it to will cut the tips to size if they are too long and weld them to the mufflers.

You can't cut much out of the example I posted before. You need the space for the single inlet to go to a twin outlet.
