Has anybody change their exhaust tips only? Meaning without the entire System?
I'm wondering if getting some new tips would make our TL look better?
I was thinking on something chrome either round or oval and a little bigger!

 

I've changed the tips...well the whole system as well but you cant tell, as it will look the same either way. I havent had anyone tell me it look horrible, although I dont get a lot of people coming up to me and telling me they like them either. I only did it because one of my stock tips got fucked up by a valet parker driving off a big ass curb.

 

i actually wanted to try things the other way around. i wanted to put the stock tl tips on an after market exhaust. dealership told me they dont sell just the tips. its the tips/muffler. therefore, im guessing its probably the same way with what your talking about. to do that, it will probably have to be some custom welding work.

 

Yes....this has been done several times sucessfully. BUT...eventually...a few of em came off afterwards. But there are a few with Magnaflows that cut off the OEM tips and welded them to the Magnaflows. But ya...its been done.
