Exhaust Question/ Suggestions

New here and would appreciate any insight. I like the sounds of the stage 2 and stage 3 setups on the TL's, but was wondering how they might sound on an AT Accord V6. Not getting any love over on the Accord forums, so thought I'd check over here. Would the sound be similar to the TL's? Removing the resonator and mid muffler etc. Thanks in advance.

Go check it out. Look at page 22 I think?

Accord-Umm it should sound good? It will make it a tad bit louder and sexy up the exhaust note a little haha

Thanks. I'd like to think the same thing. Sounds good stock, but want a deeper sound....not that obnoxious ricer sound. Wasn't sure since the TL has a 3.2 and the V6 Accord has a 3.0. The debate will continue. At least for me.

It should sound the same, engines sound nearly the same. I had an 04 6spd accord v6 coupe and now i have a 06tl 6-spd and they sound the same to me stock for stock. I had the borla catback exhaust on my accord it sounded great wasnt too loud and was deep my CAI drowned out the exhaust though, but i still get into the car and love how it sounds with just the exhaust and a stock airobox!

Thanks. Think I'll go in tomorrow and have the mid-muffler replaced with a straight pipe. If that's not enough, I'll take it back and replace the stock resonator with a magnaflow part# 10416. May cost me more, but I'd rather do that so I can compare the two.

Was looking for a catback, but they dont make it for the '07 Sedan.

actually the evoII setup can fit your accord, sadly though it will be a far reach from the exhaust tone you are actually looking for, if you'd like something louder with performace gains you can slightly modify the evoII setup offered here for $651... group buy ends tomorrow

ps. I went with a dynomax resonator and straight pipe to delete the mid muffler, CAI drowns out the exhaust totally

thanks for the input.

i just ordered the k&n CAI....so we'll see what happens.

dont think i want to shell out 600 for the catback, but interesting you say it will work. everywhere i read, says nothing will fit the 07 SE w/ a V6.

will go piece by piece and start today by moving mid-muffler.

Had it done at lunch today. 15 minutes in and out. Best 15 bucks I've spent so far. Will install Magnaflow resonator tomorrow.

Little nervous now with the Magnaflow on the way. Hope it only adds a little something exrta and not alot.

One of the naysayers on an Accord board, said it would sound like @$$. Far from it.

Even though I have an Accord, I belong here....you guys know what you are talking about

Thanks for all the helpful info. guys. Very much appreciated.

I agree with Laxplaya..why dont you decide for yourself
Stage 2-Magnaflow resonator

Stage 3-Dynomax resonator

Just to let you know though, I had a major decrease in gas mileage. It had me pressing the gas so much more just to listen to it growl haha

What accord boards are you registered with? I am a member at which is a pretty good forum for the v6 accord, ive been a member on there forever and still post! Everyone is pretty nice and there are some knowlegeable people, i thing here is better because there is also an older more mature crowd!

just accordforum.com....not a lot of responses when i post over there. and when i do, they dont know what their talking about. same guy telling me it would sound like @$$ is telling me "it's not a mid-muffler...its a resonator." i shouldn't generalize, but its more enjoyable over here

I played in high school, and club in college. I wanted to play in college, but at the time, Rutgers was ranked #7, and everyone was about 3" and 40 lbs heavier than I was.

Schiano's a good coach. Good to see him stay and not leave for the dollars.
