Exhaust question

Other than the Comptech catback, what are my options for a new exhaust? What's the best "bang for the buck"? I just went for a ride in my buddy's 350Z after he put a Borla exhaust on it and it's pretty sweet so now I'm thinking about options for my car... Thanks in advance.

Currently, Magnaflow custom or Comptech. Thats about it for now. there may be some more options available down the road.

How much whp are people seeing from a custom magnaflow? The CT isn't that much, right?

No exhaust is going to yield tons of extra hp on this car.

If you are looking for power, the best bet would be to go with the E-shift procats. This will yield the best performance gain for around the same price as the CT exhaust.

my main concern would be that the mufflers are restrictive...if you are on a budget, or want to possibly get the pro-cats as well as exhaust i would simply purchase two rear mufflers and a resonator and leave the rest of the exhaust with the factory tubing. that will run you between 350-400 depending on what the shop is willing to do for you install wise. that way your price tag for cats and exhaust is around 1500 instaed of 2500 if you went with the CT exhaust.

Thanks for all the replies. Alternately, it sounds like a magnaflow custom for around $500 and the ProCats for around $1000 would work well, right? Around 25 whp? Decisions, decisions...

procats are psudo header option for 3rd gen TL and new accord there gain is about 20hp/10lbft...magnaflow would be an exhaust option with a lily 5-8 hp gain depending on mods

Here, E-shift procats will get you 20HP / 10LB Torque, The Cat-back exhaust iwll get you 7-8 HP and it will sound good, with both on it @ the same itme, it will be even louder. There you go.

On average, the gains on the cats are about 18-22 hp and 12-14 ft/lbs of tq.
