exhaust possibility

exhaust possibility

So, I took the car to have it looked at for doing a custom exhaust system and they gave some ideas. Just wanted to get everyones opinions and comments. I am kind of wanting to go with a dual exhaust all the way back. The recommendation they gave me was to go from each pre cat to dual dynomax resonators and then into a dynomax ultra flo x muffler and then out to the rear and whatever exhaust tips i choose to go with.

well if you do it you'd be the first... curious to see if they will use prebent mandrel pieces to piece it together

Yes, they would be using pre mandrel bent pieces cut and then welded together. They have a good reputation and I have a buddy who is having his exhaust done by them this weekend so I will be able to see the quality before I commit.

dude go all the way out, from the head back. custom precat deletion, then custom equal length jpipe replacement into an X pipe all the way back with two resonators and two muffs. it would probably be worth 15-20 hp!

probably closer to 5-10 ~ but i bet it would sound REALLY cool

He's talking manifold back for 15-20. You can get 10 from just a catback.

watch out on the tubing diameter, I would do no larger than 2 1/4" all the way back

I was looking at the same thing, the main thing i was thinking of getting rid of was the poorly bent piping under the engine where it squeezes flat. I would like to put a mandrel bent pipe in its place and send it back other than the way it is stock.
