so i've done some reading about the various stage setups but from i gather only thing you get is more noise.

I want to add a few more ponies to my TLS but keep it as quiet as possible. So am i correct that only part of exhaust that is worth changing for HP gain is the Jpipe w/ cat delete? the rest is for sound only?

removing the mid muffler will not gain any HP?

if you really want to get some more power, upgrade every aspect of your exhaust. free flowing/less restrictive.

-pre cat deletes or hfc's (quieter) rv6 performance
-aftermarket jpipe rv6 performance, xlr8, heeltoe
-catback exhaust rv6, atlp, xlr8, comptech, greddy

removing your mid muffler won't add anything...just noise.

 

thats the question i was asking. I read that long thread about the 4 stages etc deleting resonator and/or mid muffler etc and it seemed the consensus was no HP gain only noise. and i would never want my TL to sound like those sound clips. but i guess i was questioning that because i thought by deleting the mid muffler it would increase flow thus getting HP.

i was looking at richie v3 jpipe that will delete that last cat. and was wondering if removing the mid muffler would be of any benefit.

Thanks you that is what i wanted to confirm. I wouldn't be able to take the noise from whole exhaust. sounds like jpipe is nice improvement in HP w/ minimal noise increase. that's what i shall go w/
