I ordered magnaflow mufflers (part#11235) and was going to just replace the oem ones with those and new tips and delete the mid muffler. Today the muffler shop said that those mufflers are too long and i need max 12" mufflers so that they will fit with the new tips and without touching the stock piping. Has anyone done the magnaflow mufflers without modifing the stock piping? Or is it possible to do that or the muffler shop was just B/S ing me. Thanks for any advice.

 

I dont think it will fit cause of the shape.



im actually going to weld the Magnaflow 10436 on to my XLR8 exhaust to kill the drone from it.

Oh yeah he also wanted to sell me Spin-Tech mufflers which looked like mufflers for V8 cars. Anyone heard of them on imports if they sound good?

 

In the stock angle, I think 12" is about it.

I have 14" going straight and that fits fine, but I didn't use any of my stock exhaust.

If i keep the current magnaflows and have muffler shop do a cutom piping from cat back to mufflers with 2.25" piping, will i make a little more h/p than if i use the stock piping and just get shorter mufflers? Also which magnaflows are better flowing the 11" or the 14"? any advice would be great.
