Exhaust?

I have a 06 TL. I just put 19 inch Maya STM wheels on it. Tomorrow, I am putting the Eibach Pro Kit Suspension. I am thinking about changing the exhaust. Any thoughts? I do not want it to loud, however, I would like it to be a little more aggressive and if I could get a couple extra hp would be great.

Take care,
CWR " the new guy"

there are a lot of options...scroll through the threads and read up on the exhaust. a lot of us are now just cutting off the oem tips and welding them onto new mufflers. works out well.

i think a lot of people that keep the stock tips go w/ the magnaflow setup (search for it ont he forum; also, subinf know a shitload about it). I don't know how much hp gain you'd get using stock tips though.

I'm in the process of getting an exhaust as well but don't want it to be that loud and I don't want to have a round tip because it wouldn't look right with the square cut out on the bumper. That's why I'm asking a friend of my about getting an universal Remus exhaust with a square tip.

Comptech Exhaust

Highly recommend the comptech exhaust myself...but that does take you to round tips....

Here are some clips: (I "borrowed" the sound clips from somebody here)

Yes I like the comptech exhaust but since this being a luxury sedan, I don't want it to be that loud. I had a Remus exhaust on my wife's 2001 Accord V6 and it makes a very good solid sound. Not too racy but somewhat a deep throaty sound. But ya maybe it's just me though. It look nice but doesn't really gives you any horsepower.

If u think the comptech is loud, stay with stock, cause my Custom Magnaflow is louder and deeper than the CT.

Any good exhaust really need to be teamed with a good intake in order to get the full benefit.....

Not a bad sound I was expecting the comptech exhaust to be a bit louder. I have read somewhere that it provides like 7 more whp. Anybody verified this? I have not done any mods and was thinking that I would buy an exhaust for xmas. Does anybody notice any loss of torque down low (not that there are tons of it) and more power in the vtec range?

Last night I turned skid control off and crammed the pedal to the floor from dead stop and my front wheels were spinning so much the car moved sideways by about 12 inches....no loss of low end from what I can see? I swear this thing gets faster the longer I drive it.
