Excelerate Performance: AEM V2 Groupbuy for 04-08 Acura TL, 07-08 TL-S

Excelerate Performance announces a Groupbuy for the AEM V2 intake for the 04-08 Acura TL. Here is how the Groupbuy will work. We will give until Friday, Octobert 28th to form a list. Once we determine how many people are on the list we will make a promo code on the website to reduce the price. Currently, we sell it for about $294 plus shipping, which is already a pretty aggressive price.

The prices will be as follows:

10 People - $275 plus shipping
15 People - $270 plus shipping
20+ People - $265 plus shipping

Shipping will not exceed $15 to the cont 48 US

Let's begin a list. Please only add your name if you are actually going to purchase the intake.

1.
2.
3.
4.
etc etc

For those of you who do not know what the AEM V2 is:

AEM’s V2 intake systems use a patented dual chamber design to produce the most power and torque of any other intake system available—even our own Cold Air systems.

On a dyno graph, the area under the power band (or power curve) represents the amount of effort that an engine is producing. The larger the overall area under the curve, the more power your engine is making. The AEM V2 utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping) that creates multiple frequency sound waves to produce the largest area under the curve of any intake system on the market. These sound waves help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range and are what enables the V2 to outperform even our own Cold Air systems.

We have found that inlet length plays a vital role in the power production of V2 systems and not all V2 induction systems relocate the filter outside of the engine compartment. In these cases, we performed extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. Please refer to our temperature testing procedures for more information.

* Outperforms every intake system on the market, even our own Cold Air intakes
* 50-state legal or pending legality
* Patent #6,959,679
* Manufactured and assembled in the USA
* Inlet constructed of lightweight aircraft aluminum and mandrel bent for maximum flow
* Reinforced TIG-welded brackets and fittings deliver added durability
* Utilizes a complete hardware kit with soft mounts for a guaranteed perfect fit
* AEM’s lifetime DRYFLOW Synthetic air filter is 99.4% efficient, filters to one micron, and never needs filter oil!
* Comprehensive installation instructions, decals and license plate frame included
* Available in a powdercoated titanium-look finish
* Guaranteed for life

Good stuff Josh, I'll be waiting until the list passes 14, then I'll gladly join anywhere from 15-20.

Get your name on the list to encourage others to join. If you want to remove it later on if the list doesn't get high enough that is fine.

Joshua hi. I hope all is well. I've never seen the gains posted on the v2 for the TL/TL-S as AEM has pretty much pulled the dyno numbers for their intakes on their site last i checked. So the question is do we know the numbers for the intake on our cars? Thanks bro...

I know acura/honda enthusiast are more apt to get the AEM for there cars but for about 55 dollars cheaper you could do a K&N CAI...so is there a catch that would draw me more to AEM?

I'd definitely be interested, depending on the shipping costs to canada.
Anyone know how to clean the filter on a 24-6110C?

Its defiantly much better then stock. It has a great sound as well; but it's hard for me to give you an idea because did a lot of other intake related improvements during the same install. I think you"ll like it.

I don't have any dynos of the AEM V2. Sorry. But the regular AEM CAI made about 10whp.

No sorry. The V2 only comes in a titanium gun metal finish.

Based on the design the AEM V2 should make more power than the K&N intake.

Yes we ship to Canada. To see the shipping costs to Canada add the part to cart, proceed to checkout, create an account and then put in your country AND postal code for a shipping quote via UPS Standard.

It's a dry filter. It can be cleaned with soap and water.

Yes. The bypass valve will not work on the V2 intake and I wouldn't recommend even if it could. It disrupts the air flow and falls apart after a year or two. Just don't drive through 2-3 ft of water and you will be fine.

That's because it's not made for the TL - but if fits...and just barely, from what I understand. Check out the 3G Garage for DIY install notes.

On another note, perhaps a moderator can explain to me why my previous post got deleted without explanation? The only thing I said was that the savings versus what you can find it on a major internet retailer wasn't enough to get me to buy it now. Free speech ain't so free, it seems.

It fits 100%. We've installed a number of them on 04-08 TL ALL.
