There is a guy at ebay "precision tune performance" selling a chip for the 2008 TL.
He claims it changes the timing and altering the fuel curve to provide an increase in MPG and HP. Does anyone have any experience with this?

They claim simple plug in, no potential conflict with the car.

Thoughts?

 

don't waste your money. there are better things to spend your money on. like grape vaginas.

 

A chip is a waste of money. Unless you're going with forced induction (turbo/supercharger) a chip WILL NOT give you any gains that are worth the money. Simply altering the fuel map and messing with the timing gives you minimal gains. By the time your new found HP gets to the wheels you will probably not even notice it.

 

chip what chip, potato chips? even if there really was a chip I can bet you $50 you don't know where your engine computer is

You know...my friend bought one of those to "show me up" (he has a 05 TL) and he recieved a sticker in the mail that said "30+ Horsepower!"
