the search function on this forum is worse than an adviser in the bush white house.
Go to google and type in what you're looking for with acurazine tagged on the end and search that. Much better results.

Now I know I should never post anything here without doing a thorough search... How do you find anything new to talk about

^ Lolwut. When the same question has been asked more times than miles to the sun and back, it gets frustrating. Searching takes all of about 5 seconds, literally. Not only will you find your answer, but you will get it at light speed compared to creating a thread. If after a search you did not find it, then post.

as some one mentioned, there are no chips for our cars.
no re-flash.

this car isnt easy to tune.
its not like a 4 banger.

and its def. not like a forced inducted car.
you simply cannot change any of the engine parameters easily.

So no one has successfully used even generic chips similar to

http://www.andysautosport.com/acura/...nce_chips/aem/

Or has this already been brought up too

of course, we've used the AEM FIC.
but its not and end all to the solution.
it is hard to wire, and will not advance timing.

also, there is a piggyback/standalone unit based off the megasquirt 3
But again, its hard to use and definitely not plug and play.

Don't do any reSEARCH and ask a stupid question, get stupid answers. It's not that complicated.

didn't do any research because an open forum is designed to discuss things.. stupid answers only come from stupid people.. a simple... we haven't found one that works YET, but we all do these quick 5 mods to find some horsepower.. would have fine..I not being an Acura mechanic just figured that a group of pros had an idea ..my car has been out for 5 going on 6 years now and I'm sure it's all been discussed at one time..

In other words, it isn't worth it to tune unless you're tracking it. Just do some bolt-ons, if you don't know much about it there's a few good exhausts we have, j-pipes, etc etc. Just look around a little and I'm sure you'll find one of the 500 "which mods should i get guize" threads.

This made me lol.

Dude, OP, it took you 2 months to get back to that last post in September. Apparently this wasn't terribly high-priority for you.

But yeah, forget about a tune for now. And forget about a 'chip' altogether. Work on bolt ons and the such. I'd say a fully bolted TL will would run around $2500-$3000 or so (full exhaust, CAI, ZDX/3.7 IM and TB, lightweight pully, spacers, cams [possibly], etc.). And that's only engine mods. There's also suspension, tires/wheels and aesthetics to think about. After that, I might consider a tune since a tune is customized specifically to your current configuration. You'll want most of those mods in place first to take full advantage of a tune.
