Honestly an intake is an intake..

Its just a tube.. If fitment was good I wouldnt mind getting one if others tried first..

One thing you should invest in are some good clamps, and good airfilter..

Dont cheap on the filter..

I don't recommend these kind of intakes b/c they don't do R&D and they use cheap aluminum. I happened to bring in a couple over a year ago and if anyone wants one they look similar to the above except they come with a K&N filter. $75 shipped to the cont US

Obviously the price is attractive but in more cases than not, you get what you pay for. Also, without knowing exactly what kind of filter it comes with, can it be properly cleaned? Or, do you have to buy another filter? Just something to think about.

speaking from experience:

The piping is MUCH smaller than Fujita, AEM, Injen...the pipe is the size of your throttle body while the 3 specified is about 1/4-1/2" bigger.

The piping looks very cheap. There are layers of wave probably from bad bending and the paint sucks.

The materials such as the breather hose etc are ok
The filter if K&N is good

The vibramount sucks and breaks very easy

seriously, how many kinds of aluminum pipe can you have? so what if it doesn't have a name brand, it will probably still accomplish the same goal.

he speaks of the truth! hahaha

i saw the piping.. man that thing was so weak.. i could probably bend it with my own strength. toss it around once and you'll probably just snap it...

probably the one of few times ib18c1 has failed...

hahah. jk jk.. come pick up your wheels...

I installed one a few months back... the vibramount isn't the problem... the bracket is

its facing the wrong direction, unless you want to mount the vibramount under the headlight it just won't work

hopefully the one the op purchased isn't similar to the one I installed but lets just say it wasn't fun custom making a damn bracket for an ebay intake

The cheap ebay intakes are not the same. There is no R&D behind them; even if they copied AEM or Injen's design correctly the aluminum used is ridiculously thin. I know; I have one here. We typically will not install ebay parts or we do so and advise the customer that any additional labor is on their dollar. Ebay/Chinese knockoff parts never fit correctly and they generally take twice the time to install them. Yes the filter is important but buying an ebay tube and a K&N filter still is not the same as buying an AEM intake.

You get what you pay for.

As mentioned already not r/d but goood for a temporary. ALWAYS REPLACE THE FILTER WITH A NAME BRAND WITH EBAY INTAKES. The aluminum is thin as I have experienced. I had one in my h22 accord with the aem dryflow filter. THe problem was the aluminum would wipe against the ABS module. That eventually put a hole in the intake so I duct taped the whole thing lol ghetto but worked better than the aluminum. Of course bigger companies charge more because they put more thought and quality into products thats why they cost a bit more. You do get what you pay for and you got to pay to play.

UPDATE

Just recieved my ebay cai sold under "K2motor". 3" pipe, no dents or dings, smooth bends, brackets is on the correct side. All mounting hardware included but no instructions which is not a big deal. Only problem is the air filter doesnt fit over the pipe. I guess now im forced to go with the dryflow filter i was thinking of getting. Oh well u get what u pay for. A pipe with an air filter thats all it is. Realy nothing to it....makes me feel like i should have just made my own cai.

i bought an ebay cai about 3 years ago for my tl-s and im still runnin it. i clean the filter regularly, and i havent had any problems. my opinion is why pay $300+ for 5 hp. id bet money this ebay one will give you the same or about the same hp for $50. and lets just say a "real" intake will last 12 years and i know that even if mine exploded into a million pieces today after 3 years, if i bought one every 3 years for 12 years id still be spending less money for the same hp. i do admit, they dont look as quality. but, really how often do you raise your hood and gaze at your intake? but, i guess if your a baller and like wasting $300 for 5 hp (which isnt a very good ratio) then more power to you. just my 2 cents.

Yeah, thats it. The only part that is 3.5" is the flared section at the bottom of the tube where the filter goes on. The rest of it is 3". In their photo the pipe is actually upside down and the air filter is mounted to throttle body side of the pipe. lol

You make a good point my friend.. I have had ebay intakes on my other h22 prelude and 2 of my KA 240s..

Honestly I dont doubt its the same shit.. But for this car I couldnt buy ebay parts for my beloved TL..

I would recommend the v2 for our car.. The best intake out.. Period..

But then again I paid about $300 shipped for it so you do have a point..
Yo gotta pay to play man..
