Angry e-shift pro cats bad result

Sorry Guys, myabe I am the only one, if not guys unhappy with their results say hallo...
after nice purchase with Mike, I got my car to service, and front cat has been installed succesfully, but the second one ( the one at the back of powerplant)
has wrong angle to connect it with downpipe underneath the car.
So I had to cut it and make them fit together in mufler shop.

More to tell You, after two hours of hard drive, and G-tech SS tests I noticed HALF A SECOND LOSS !!!! not half a second gain in both 0-60 and quarter mile.

Before install I managed couple of times to get as low as 5,65 - 5,8, and 13,83 up to 14.0 it was not hard to reach the times better than 6.0 and 14.0

I do not think that my particular vehicle has not accepted the eshit cats.

Any comment, How do You guys feel with new cats, especially you without S/C.

thanks

Your the first to complain. I have noticed gains through out the entire RPM range. Mine was installed by them so I didnt see any missalignments. Do you do the install??

Double check on the install. When I spoke to Mike, he said that many who install the cats do not do it right. Alot of shops bang up the cats in the install process.

you are the first on this forum i can tell you that (i'm not denying your prob.). Mike sells to europe now? wow he's growing fast. lol. installation problem? they have this header rig in their shop to make sure fitment will not be an issue. i didn't see any banging or twisting when i's over there during installation. the back one went right on. maybe you got 2 "front" ones? they are quite different angle wise.

I made the install with Honda dealer (a friend of mine owns it) and the only issue was wrong aligment with the second one , to be onest I don not have 3 rd cat, I have soem electreonic device that cheats ECU with no check engine as a result. Cats are mostly because of emissions, two sensors measures incomming air/fuel mixture and outgoing fumes

if both of them look exactly the same when you got it, then it's the wrong cat. there should be a lil difference angle wise.

maybe it was, but now it's in and can not be changed,
anyway, I am not complaining for additional work with fiting, it can always be made with extra money and time,
but with no gain,

tomorrow I will take them to another road test

dude....I reset my computer after I got home from install and thought I had really duped it! It seemed like it lost all kinds of power immediately (had driven a bit without reset) - then within a week it was all adjusted back out and sounding like I expected and making power like I expected too. So dont freak....it may just be the PC. Not to mention that I also have the third cat installed. Maybe that is you prob....seems to be the only difference in what you are saying....?

Keep us updated. However you put down 13.8 sec 1/4mile?? THat is very impressive for a 5AT. Is that with 100shot Nitrous???

What kind of device are you referring to? O2 simulator?

I also had an alignment problem. The mechanic at Tim Smith Acura said he tightened the rear cat to the Y-pipe and when he went to tighten the front cat it was off by an inch. He had to loosen the rear so the front would align and then tighten the bolts down. He also mentioned the cats did not have a groove for the four O-ring washers to sit in. He still used new washer but ended up crushing them and using RTV around the joint to ensure there was no leaks. I have noticed when the engine is cold I hear a tapping noise, then once the engine runs about 30 seconds the tapping stops. I also noticed the car idles just a little harsher now; should I reset the ECU?

Yes...reset the ECU...disconnect battery for about 20 minutes (actually....I think it only takes a few....but personally...I disconnected mine at lunch and then reconnected it before I went back to office?) At first..before I reset...I had a slight idle surge as the ECU was freaked trying to compensate...even after a day of driving. After reset....I also freaked then thinking I had LOST all the power I had before...but then the next few weeks the ECU will continue to readjust out and it all comes right back....but with correct settings that make the car run right!

I dont think I have "held something/anything back" here? A matter of fact...I think I did a entire write up on this thing in this same thread as soon as I got them on? Not sure about this alignment issue....never had this that I know of and I asked my installer about everything! They build this thing on a jig.....so it should be accurate right out of the box. At least mine was? As far as the gaskets, I am sure I have read this in this thread too where somebody said they had to use some sensor safe RTV at the one joint. Not to mention...if you look around at the Honda forum....they are all raving on the performance gains over there also...stating 21 HP gains over there and again.....torque all across the board. If your not seeing this...it has to be something specific about your set up or something that surely somehow between us all here...we can dope this thing out and help find the issue....too many success stories here and elsewhere.

This has got to be something with that third cat delete you have going....if it doesnt come back out after ECU reset and time to learn the new stuff.
