I found some on Amazon. Didn't even think about the clamp not being large enough and I would've been throwing wrenches if I got everything on and discovered I couldn't put the CAI on.

Here are the clamps I bought:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/200806957522...84.m1423.l2649
I took my CAI to a welder and got my bung welded in today so I'm good to go as soon as I receive the clamps. I may just install w/o the clamps because I want this mani on right now. I think it will be fine since we are NA. You will also need to order a new coupler. 3.25 is the TB side and my DC Sports CAI is 3.00 so I ordered a 3.25 to 3.00 coupler.

My buddy had a blow torch. We just heated up my 3" coupler and it fit perfectly over the TL throttle body will be doing the same once my 4" intake comes

I had my car on the dyno for the first time yesterday. Tampa Bay Tuned was hosting a dyno day and for $20 I got 2 pulls and they even fed us pizza and pop I was very happy with the results even though I know dynojets read a little optimistic. I was stuck in rush hour traffic on my way there so my engine was heat soaked.
My car is 06 5AT with CAI, coolant bypass, outlaw IM thermal gasket, pnp runners, type s cats, and rv6 jpipe.
My next mod will be installing the 3.7 TL mani / throttle body and I will do another dyno and 1/4 runs to document gains.
On to the results...

Hey since you are purchasing the 3.7 mani and the ZDX TB you probably know more about them than me, so would you recommend installing them on a stock 04 TL 6 speed, only mods are intake resonator delete and all 3 mufflers delete.

I installed my mani / tb a couple of days ago and I will be headed to the 1/4 tomorrow to see how she runs. However it will be difficult to compare since its going to be much colder at the track than the last time I have run.
I would also recommend a CAI with this setup, I noticed significant gains when I installed mine. Much more than I had anticipated.

It certainly won't hurt anything. Think of your engine as a giant air pump. The more air you get through it and the quicker you get the air out, the more power you will make. The ZDX throttle body is larger and thus flows more air than the stock TB. The 3.7 mani has a larger opening as well so it can flow more air. Additional benefits are that it is magnesium as opposed to aluminum. This makes the combination 5.5 lbs lighter according to my digital scale. Also the inside is relatively smooth, free of casting imperfections found on the stock aluminum one adding to its superior flow characteristics. Additionally, magnesium should be less prone to heat soak. However I have been taking measurements with my IR thermometer and temps have been consistent between the two...

Sweet! I'll definitely be looking into that

Let us know how you do at the track man.
TLTodor: I'm sure you will see gains with the manifold, even on your stock engine. You will notice more with CAI/exhaust though. To get the most potential out of the 3.7 intake setup, you will need a full exhaust and a large CAI though.

I had my best runs ever in the TL last night. In fact, my worst run of the night was still faster than my previous best time. In all fairness, conditions were ideal. The night started out at a crisp 57 degrees and ended at 53. My best run of the night was my first run... 14.288 @ 99.51 previously my best run was 14.679 @ 96.03 but that was in 83 degree weather. My mods added for this run were the shawd mani and zdx TB.
For comparison, the slip on the left is from the first time I went to the track in January it was 54 degrees so almost the same conditions as last night when it was 3 degrees warmer. First time I went to the track only mod was v3 rv6 j-pipe.
Middle slip was my previous best time in 83 degree weather with all current mods minus the mani and TB and last slip is my new best time ran last night.

Congrats man! Great time. Even better is the fact that you improved your previous best time. I'd estimate the 3.7 IM/TB setup gave you 10whp based on your track results, which is awesome. Glad we both proved that they aren't just dyno gains, but gains on the track as well I'd recommend a larger intake too at some point....Just saying
You know I was going to post my guess but I held it back. I was going to guess 14.24 @99.7 (honestly) so that was a pretty damn good guess! Lol.

I've got to get a proper exhaust first, I'm still bottle-necked with the stock one right now. I would really like to go 3 inch but I will probably get the comptech or tsudo system since it ready to bolt on. Then I will be finished modding the TL until tuning comes out.... if it ever does then I will be getting some Bisi cams!

^ Sit tight
Just get a 3" cutout. That way if you want to stay quiet during normal cruising you can, and loud/powerful when you want to.

Have you heard anything new about tuning coming for the J?
Yea, but with an open diff, I don't think that will be possible. 2.2 is the best I can do and that's with sticky 255's up front. It's disappointing, I know.

I'm anxiously waiting on something. Hopefully some sort of tune comes soon. I'm looking for 300whp

^ It's been done. Search b18c5 vs J32 TL on youtube. You will hear it. Sounds nuts. That TL of course is more modded than just a cutout though

Here are the pics of the final install along with some minor tweaks that I made because I'm OCD.
The sensor at the rear of the mani did not have a place to bolt to the 09 mani so I removed the bracket and zip tied around the plastic wiring cover. I just didn't want to leave it dangling so I think this is a good solution and it looks pretty clean.
The rubber hoses for this sensor were too long so I cut them on the top and bottom by a 1/2 inch on each side. This prevented the hose from bulging out. Also the sensor was a different length so it could only be secured by one screw. I used the one at the top.
You will have to relocate the IAT. My DC Sports CAI didn't have a place to do this so I made my own bung. Its m12x1.5. I bought an aluminum collar from Ace and tapped it to these specs. I then took it to get welded by a pro. I had it done on the bottom of the CAI tube so it would be concealed and look clean.
I had to dremel off the guide lines off the 09 sensor to make it fit to the plug. It clicks right in now. Also, I bought a 3.25 to 3 inch coupler and the same size clamps to fit the new setup.
Here is the finished result. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'm here to help!
