Quick question though, would it be that much worse if you were to get two of those mufflers instead of one? I know you mentioned earlier that the air cools at the y-joint but just how much of a decrease in power is it?

I'd prolly give this a shot too, but not for 5-10 HP gains.

2 pieces of heater hose with a small band clamp installed on the hanger (on each side of the rubber mount) will hold that dude in place...

 

I think i know what it is... from the back it's okay but from the side, you can see the canister hanging way below the car and that's what bothers me

Pull the hanger off the mount and put a 1/2in wide slice of tube on the hanger on each side of the rubber mount. Then put a small band clamp in each slice of tube to lock em in place. Those will brace the hanger and keep it from sliding left/right inside the mount.

yea it is.... the shop made 2.5" have a wider lip and overlapped the large tubing extension that the exhaust comes with, so when you look in the can you don't see the bend right away....

Here I am sitting in the library supposed to be doing work and I find myself on here..sigh.

I can't look at the clips in the library, but I'm sure they don't do it any justice. Not a huge fan of the single, especially with the HUGE HKS muffler, but if it provided gains and is what you want, then who effin cares??

Al, in person is there rasp? Or does the AR25 take care of that? And would there be much of a difference in sound putting it where the 3rd cat would be?

I just did stage 4 to my 2002 TL type S and I love it not too raspy at all in fact I think it's still quiet....lol

 

You could always mount another Muffler on the other side.......
