cutouts?

cutouts?

im thinking about cutouts for my 04...sounds soo good...any suggestions?

cutouts as in those ricer holes in the fenders or as in for cooling for the motor in the hood?

no no no like exhaust cutouts...like routers from the headers straight out the bottom...open and closeable so u can route it away from the exhaust if u like...http://youtube.com/watch?v=NQ6kjc2IIns...

Sorry, never heard 'em called that. Bypass I've heard. Don't know if anyone here has done it - some high flow custom exhausts, as you've probably seen.


You can still go with the "vents" if you need some extra HP though.

i think they are like around 500 to 600 with the remote and stuff so im trying to get something cheaper...i no that u can get it with a cord to open and close it and thats much cheaper...i just dont no which one i want yet...

not to much...like 400 but u can get just anual ones with a cord or just one with a cap...im just not sure which one i want yet...

I know of the apexi ones which aren't too expensive, but my question is what is the use of exhaust cutouts... I was under the impression they were to reduce bd levels for street use and were mainly used on cars which are regularly dragged

ps. some car manufacturers (bmw) include these from the factory, and buyers then remove them... so why would you want to add this?

i think the acura RL has something like this from the factory, It is used to control the exhaust so in the lower RPM ranges, the back pressure is increased casuing some torque increases.
