CT Engineering

Hey all,

For all of of UA7 drivers (3G Type-S), I just got off the phone with someone from CT Engineering, which is the company who bought the road car side of Comptech for aftermarket parts. The person I spoke with said that a catback exhaust for the Type-S will be available sometime this Summer. Also, after that, a Type-S specific supercharger will be in the works ! There is no timeframe on it, but it is going to happen, as of right now. We'll just have to wait. But I thought all of you UA7'ers would like to know!

i spoke to somebody @ comptech in august.. they told me the exhaust will be ready by spring... so if in fact , its done by summer.. thats not too much off... but... ITS THE SAME FRIGGIN EXHAUST AS THE TL.... they actually told me that my current comptech exhaust from my UA6 would not fit on the type s ..... comptech.. great products... but.... i wouldnt hold your breath either.....

also, with the blower.. all they need is to crack the ACM... not design a whole new blower... this car has been out on the market for... (10/2006) 18 months... and no ground has been accomplished.....

Comptech said that they bolted on a regular TL S/C kit on the TL-S and it didn't make power so they have to re-design it. So, if that is the case, it might be a while.

The platform is plenty profitable. But not when the part you make is not a big improvement. Hondata can't get a consistent power gain on an NA reflash. Thus, not profitable for them to pursue it.
