Crank Pulley?....Please explain

Reading through some threads I ran into someone saying something about upgrading to a new crank pulley so I looked it up and really couldn't find much on the TL side of gains. Can anyone bring some light onto this for me I am confused how it works, what it gains, risks everything basically because for ~$200 is it worth doing maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing?

Were you being sarcastic?!
It is telling you you free up some hp all along the range of rpm's and gears.

I did it and FELT the difference immediately. I don't regret the purchase one bit.
It's lighter...so more power goes to the wheels instead of driving accessories and a heavy crank pulley.

Yes, extremely sarcastic lol. But thank you I knew it sort of what it did but couldnt grasp the concept of it making a noticeable difference. So its worth the $200 I take it.

Thanks
