Personally, I wouldn't mess with it. I agree with 04accordcpe, my Comptech got louder over time as well. Also note that I have zero other exhaust mods, just the CT.

How about you add the PCDs and it will be "louder with less rasp". Even if you wanted to cut the third muffler to make it louder it will be an oxymoron to your TL luxury-non-rice sound because that "louder" noise will just be more rasp, which is what that third muffler stops. Keep it the way it is and get a deeper tone, aka install PCDs. Other then that, get a new exhaust.

Comptech states that removing the mid muffler will not cause rasp, it will just make it a tad bit louder.

The shop is going to charge $80 cash to remove the mid muffler and put a straight pipe on it, If I do not like the sound, $60 to put the mid muffler back on. What u guys think?

Will this change after it is "broken in"? Is there a break in period?

This system comes with a mid muffler, so I am wondering if the same rule applies where if you delete the mid muffler, this will make it louder, but how loud is the question?

Help me out here guys!
Cut out the midmuffler, it will make it a lil louder and a lot throatier.

are you saying this on experience with removing it on a aftermarket exhaust or is this a fact? I am wondering if anyone has the comptech exhaust and has done this?
