Hi All,

Just picked up an '05 TL and it has a CompTech exhaust on it. I was underneath today looking for a clunk sound when I hit a bump and noticed something odd with the exhaust.

Right where the exhaust pipe goes into each muffler on each side it is loose. It doesn't look like a broken weld or anything. Looks like it's supposed to be welded right there but wasn't. It does rattle when I wiggle it. Is this supposed to be like this or do I need to get it welded?

missing the clamps? pretty sure I have two clamps for each muffler there

 

That's what I thought also, but there is no lip on the muffler for a clamp.
