Comptech Exhaust and E-Shift Cat question... Gaskets?

Comptech Exhaust and E-Shift Cat question... Gaskets?
I installed my ESP cats back in the fall (used all brand new gaskets). They went on without much issue, just a few alignment tweaks.
I just finished installing the Comptech cat-back exhaust. The only issue I had was the flange between the Comptech cat-back the ESP cat.
The stock flange on the cat had a groove machined around it where the ring type gasket seated. The flange faces of both the ESP cat and the Comptech exhaust are flat. There's nowhere to put a gasket... Oce assembled, it has to be leaking a bit.
I just bolted them togther, with intent to squeeze some gasket sealer in the cracks later on.
Is this what other folks have been doing?
I also noted one of my exhaust hangers failed from the extra pressure of the ESP cats not fitting precisely:
Part number 8 - 18215-SEP-A01
The rubber just gave out and the mount is sitting on metal surround. It's OK, but I think I'm getting some extra vibration/noise from it. $8 to replace that, only to have it probably fail again.

If interested in putting a gasket in there, I would see if you could find the material that they make the exhaust manifold gaskets out of. Then cut your own. It would then seal up. The other option would be to use some high temp RTV. A very Light coat of it would work fine.

I just used ultra copper gasket maker and it is holding fine. Put a good bead around it but not too much. I didn't have any alignment issues though so I don’t have any areas that have a lot of tension.

I think this is only an issue with the comptech cat back exhaust as the stock flange is gasketed where it bolts to the pro-cat. I have no leaks or alignment/hanger problems

Now it smells like burnt gas... , but I try not to make a habit of smelling it up too much.

I am buying a used Comptech exhaust and would like to know if I'm going to need to get gaskets.
