I am fairly new to the Acura/tuner world and I purschased a bare bones 6M 04 TL back in September. I have rarely driven the car (I have just taken it in for its 3,000 mi oil change) and I am looking to start some mild customizing. While I like some asthetics, I really dont see the point in a huge sound system and a bunch of tv's in the car, so with that said I have seen a bunch of Tl's with the cleared headlight lenses, and I have to honestly say it looks pretty sharp. I have looked around on all the forums and I still have not seen any DIY instructions to clear the headlights, any help there? And the next thing I would like to try would be to do a high flow exhaust. I have read about the racing TL with headers, but I also realize that our TL's have cast together headers/heads any answers to this riddle? I would like to keep it SMOG leagal but still get the most bang for the buck. And lastly with the exhaust, I have always been a muscle car guy, and I hate the high pitched whine most tuner cars give off, hass anyone experimented with glass packes or tubing/mufflers in general that would give the TL a much deeper muscley sound rather than that whine that almost all imports seem to give? Thanks all, I hope to get some pics of my stocker all shined up soon, and maybe some pics of my other American toys.

the magnaflows get a pretty deep tone. comptech is deep as well...though it will cost a little more.

DIY instructions for cleared headlights have been posted in a couple of threads. Just do a search for cleared headlights. It's also posted in the DIY section of the 3G Garage, which is a sticky on the main 3G page.

Quite a few people are doing custom exhausts these days...look in the Photograph subforum for soundclips and videos of custom pipe w/ HKS and CT pipe w/ HKS. The soundclip for the CT exhaust by itself is in the 3G Garage (I believe on the main page of the 3G Garage thread).
