Hey guys, so i took about 2 hours to install the AEM intake for my bro in his TL 5AT, we got same car, but then after the install hes got a code error when playing music, and a check engine light. We did everything, plugged in everything correct, plugged in the hoses right, and the mount right, watched the video over and over again. We removed the battery and now he gets the code. We dont know the code, anyone has a clue of what the code maybe? also any suggestions on what to check for the check engine light? thanks alot

 

Check Engine Light will go out after some driving if you've done everything correctly. It's not a big deal and happens if a sensor is moved/disconnected while the car still has power. If it does NOT go out after a couple of hours or if it returns you should have it checked out (AutoZone, Dealer, etc).

Never unplug the battery if don't have the Radio and Navigation unit codes. If they are not with the Owners Manual you can check for a sticker on the glove box. The dealer can get the code, but will sometimes charge for the service. If you have an Acura Ownerr Link account, the Radio and Navi Codes may be there.

look under fuse box covers everywhere- especially inder hood, or the owner manual for a biz card with code or hand written on edge of glovebox door
If the last owner registered with acura.com ownerlink and stored the codes there- you are golden
