Go easy on cranking up the stiffness. Set the damping about 10 clicks away from max stiffness. The coilovers need a little time to break-in. Drive the car for about 10 hours before trying to find your personal favorite setting. After the 10 hours, they should be broken-in enough to start hunting for your ideal setting.

I say all of this based on the assumption that your ISC are the same as my BC Racing. The first day with mine, I immediately set the damping nearly to max stiffness. And, the car bounced across the road (but still in my lane) while going over an area of ripples in the road at about 30 mph.

But after about 10 hours of break-in, I was able to crank up the stiffness again to 6 clicks away from max hard. I never had a problem again with losing contact with the road surface. Over the period of several weeks, I gradually went to 3 clicks away from max hard.

All of the above relates to the front. The rears I very seldom adjust. The rear is so lightweight, the settings don't seem to matter back there. I think I have the rears set at like 8 or 10 clicks away from max hard.

BTW - The ISC and BC Racing both have 32 clicks of adjustment. My springs are 12/6 Kg.

Your right I'll adjust my stiffness back up, I should of thought of that. Im going to play with the preload and stiffness tonight, should making it a lot better. Btw I went with track so my spring rate is 14/10 hehe; it's going to be a go cart once I stall my sway bars and buy some rims. Rims probably wont come till next year sadly... Clutch n flywheel cost me a arm and a leg.

Your high ride height *might* be due to the diet plus the 14 kg front springs plus being lighter 6MT. It would help a lot if you could post a pic of the installed coilover with the front wheel removed. Include an overall pic plus a few close-up of the spring itself, the lower collar, the top of the spring, the lower part of the coilover where the threads are.

From the pics, I will be able to tell you if you can adjust it any lower.

na your fine, they're people with over 200k on stock clutch all depends how you (or the previous owner) dive ( or drove) the car.

Well just back from messing with the car, all the preloads were correct and my fronts are maxed. Just took a couple quick pics to show you guys. Also took some of the new jack, best 80 bucks ever spent.

Heres one showing how stiff the rear springs (or how light the rear of the car is). While in the air the tire has abour 1/2'' gap, when lowered it has about -1/2''. Crazy to think it only moves 1" lol.

Btw the tire is not sitting on the jack stand, it just showing the car is off the ground.

Here's the jack

There's lots of things u can do, there's a thread about it somewhere but anyhow some basic stuff you can do is don't press the clutch in till your ready to go. For example siting at a red light with the clutch press in is bad! Rocking back and forth will kill your clutch, again i see so many people do this at stop light. We get it you have a manual, good for you... Speed shifting also hurts it, I just woke up so I can't think of a thing else atm but there's tons more. I'll look around later and see if I can find that thread.

I got my clutch back from clutchmasters today, looks amazing

It weighed in at 13.6 pounds, I also weighed the flywheel and it was 14 pounds? I thought it was 12... O well to late now, but I will be installing my clutch along with all my other random parts Saturday. I'm hoping I don't have to finish it Sunday but I'm sure ill run into some problems that will make the install run into Sunday. I'll try to snap some pictures for you guys Sunday and if I have time ill do my ac delete also.
Anyone know how much the stock clutch/flywheel weighs?

Ok, Finally back from that long install. Ended up taking us 13 hours, given we did take a hour lunch and weren't trying very hard either. I don't think it was to bad in the end, only had to make one trip to napa lol. We ended up installing clutch, flywheel, stainless steel clutch line, motor monts, engine torque damper, type s FSB, and finally did my check valve delete with my new sc. Tomorrow I will be installing my progress RSB and making sure everything is still right.

First impression of the clutch/ flywheel is amazing. I love how light it is, it came out to be 13.8 pounds lighter than stock (stock was 41.4 pounds). It revs up/down a lot faster, pairs up perfect with my light weigh pulley. Many people believe it wouldn't be street able (to hard to take off with so little rotating mass from day to day), but I don't see anything wrong with it. There is a very small amount of clutch chatter but I expected that during the break in period. The car feels completely different now, I can't get over how much more nice/fun it is to drive now. Feels so much stiffer and ready to go, I'll get more in depth about everything tomorrow. I'm pooped and ready for bed.

Now if swoosh would get back to me

Quick edit: Clutch master never sent me my throw out bearing or alinement tool... Was a pain in the butt but I found out that the stock throw out bearing is the same size so we just used that, as far as the alinement tool we were sol. Did best we could trying to aline it and it was still off only had to attempt to put the tranny in 3 times before we got it. Again ill get more depth on what all they said tomorrow, I'm so ready for bed.

great progress callahan, i think you were talking about me when you said holding the clutch while at a full stop i do it sometimes. i wish i can buy a new clutch, i know that i have a new clutch when i bought the car which was at 78k miles i wonder what kind of clutch it is. because i know its not stock anyway i can tell?

wow 14lb lighter than stock = diet

^thanks, I don't think there's is a good way to tell what kind of clutch you have. I believe 13.8 pounds of your flywheel is comparable to taking 207 pounds out of your car. I believe I'm getting close to 3000 pounds dynamically, I got a couple more plans to save another 300 pounds and I'll still have my stock rims.

^Thanks! I love the jack, couldn't be happier with it.

Got the rsb in, took about hour. Had to cut off the old nut on the end links, thank god I already had new ones. Took it down the road and with the new fsb I installed last night and this it's amazing. Feels like I'm driving a golf cart now. Loven it

Well I was going to wait for racing seats but Anil found that sweet deal with NRG seats, so I had to pitch to the wife I would be saving money in the long run buying them now. She went for it lol. Just paid for them, hoping to get a tracking number by the end of the week. If I'm really lucky I'll be installing them by next weekend
