the rods crank and pistons are coming out of a bored and stroked j32a3 block from a j36 motor done by Paul "nva"

A J32A3 bore is 89mm.
A J35A8 bore is 89mm.
When you say "bored and stroked" from a J36, it doesn't make sense, because the J36 configuration is a 96mm stroke
via the J37 crank with the stock 89mm bore. Also, I have a brand new MDX J37 short block in a crate that I could have
sold you probably for less than you paid for the J36 which you can't use.

In going to bore my j35a8 block to 89.5 and get p2r pistons and king bearings, wondering if I should upgrade from the mdx rods, even though they are slightly forged, I'm only going to be running daily 8psi boost and the most 13psi on my m90 supercharger setup

as far as I know, there aren't any aftermarket j37 rods besides the ones that JUST popped up on eBay. even then there aren't j37 aftermarket bearings. you'll need to figure out the color code for sizing on the j37 stuff. king only makes bearing for the j35/j32 but if you can, swap out the rods while you're at it. one less thing to worry about. once pistons, rods and sleeves are taken care of, the J series bottoms can hold 1000hp no problem.
