Brake rotors/pads for AT

Does anyone have any experience with products from this place or others?

I'm looking at getting new drilled/slotted rotors and pads, and the first place quoted me $225 shipped for the rotors and a ceramic pad. Is this a good deal? The second place is at $275 for the rotors and axxis pads. Any insight? The first one has a 1 year warranty on the rotor, where the second only has a 90 day.

Drilled rotors are beyond the needs of our TLs- slotted is fine
And most are cheap rotors that get modified
You get what you pay for and good brakes are crucial to survival!!!

For the best thing I found see www.heeltoeauto.com
thats MrHeelToe in the sponsored sales forum here
www.racingbrake.com for rotor info
www.hawkperformance.com for all you need to know about brake pads
That combo will work wonders for you r car
Add Stainless Steel Brake Lines for 120$ and get better pedal feel- less mushy

Never heard a good word about Axxis pads

Never heard a BAD word about Hawk HPS

I know that is alittle overkill, but astetically its appealing. I know that you get what you pay for, and I would consider a 1 year warranty on rotors to be a good indication that a company stands behind their parts. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I know jptl04 had rotors from the 2nd link on his car before it got totaled. He said he really liked them.......

Yea
And Lifetime warranty means they last forever

Right! More like replace every 2 years

You are looking at rotors being modified- not designed for drilling

Buy RacingBrake rotors ONCE and last longer than you will own the car
Buy cheap- and who cares if they warranty replace in 6 months- they sucked then they will suck with same new ones.

Read the tech data and buy quality or just go to NAPA and buy cheap but use good Hawk pads

You could also go with ROTORA Slotted Rotors. The slots cut into the pad and help keep the pad from glazing over. ROTORA also sells combo rotors (drilled and slotted). Basically if you already have the slots the holes are just for aesthetic purposes as you said. What you need to be careful with these companies on ebay is that they take a rotor and machine it in their garage with QC. If not done properly the rotor will have a tendency to warp and the holes can crack.

PM me if you want a quote on either of the ROTORA rotors.

I got Goodridge SS Brake Lines from MrHealToe. Very happy so far. Just a FYI, it comes with all new crush washers and Bolts... It took about 2 hrs to install, and 1 hours to bleed the brake lines.
