A-Spec w/out the suspension..

I tried to get a look at a A-Spec vehicle without the suspension set up to see if it looked allright, some of you have the body kit but do you also have the suspension with it or have you just kept the OEM suspension?.
Pic or links please, and another ??, would you put the A-Spec badge even if you don't jave the drop?, wouldn't that be a "partial A-Spec"?? just curious since the drop is barely noticeable to the naked eye.

I got the body kit when I bought the car, but didn't get the suspension until a year later. Both set ups were with stock wheels. I don't have any pics of the car originally, but it looked the same before and after the suspension was installed. Mine's settled to just over a half inch drop, which you would be hard pressed to notice. Still don't have the badge.

I had the body kit and spoiler when I purchased the car. I just got my A-spec wheels lastweek. I also got an alignment as well (under warranty) It looks okay, but can look better. I don't know if I would lower the car. I have a 3 inch gap all around. Depending where you see the car, it looks good. PM me and give me your email address. I'll send you some pics of my car.

Those are post-install pics (post A-spec suspension install). They are identical to the pre-install photos....

Tony love the car and that's the look I'm after, stock suspension and stock wheels, gap is not an issue....I'm in Westfield, MA , ain't it a bitch to have to have the front plate....

No hatred please I was just asking, because I'm interested in the body kit alone because the suspension IMHO is low enough ..one word amigo chill...

Peter great looking car...

All I am saying is....it is kind of obvious you would like to put it on...but are worried what others are gonna say.....all I am saying is you should just DGAF about what anybody says and be a trend setter! Not spouting hatred man or certainly didnt mean it that way! I did it also without the suspension.....never worried what anybody said or asked?

No problemo and what I should have asked is does the badge mean you have the complete set up, suspension and body kit? and how many of you have the kit alone...( Michael I would never add a badge to my car as you see I have already de-badged it)

I'm gunna re-badge my debadged TL with "FORD Focus" to really make my car a sleeper. It seems that it's the obvious thing to do.

I debaded mine too...but left the A-spec on....so i guess it is "partially" debadged. If that supercharger ever gets fixed or the RIPP unit on the market (which ever comes first) I am gonna put a small black "supercharged" decal right below or above the A-spec badge after I get it. Still thinking about that one though...might leave as is and not make it obvious....so to mention that might just make every damn kid in the world attempt to race you.....probs with tickets already!

In all actuality....I think the badge is supposed to go with the suspension setup technically. There was one supplier (AofE) that used to ship the badge with the suspension setup....then they broke em out and sold then seperately.

That is a good looking TL PeterUbers. Makes me want to get the A-spec after seeing your pics since my TL is silver too. Are your a-spec wheels the 04 version(8.5 width) or the 05 versions(8.0)??

Thanks! I have the 8.5" '04 rims... ended up getting 245 series tires to protect the rims a little better from the curbs.

Nice. I wish they still made the 8.5". I want those!!. Why did they change them? Was it the rear tire wear issue or just people complaining that the wheels curb too easily??

Who cares what you put on YOUR car, it's yours! But if you are wearing a "S" on your t-shirt you had better be able to do the "it's a bird, it's a plane" thing.

Like others have said, it's your car. If you want to put on the badge, go for it. My personal opinion would be to get the A-Spec suspension over the body kit as it offers an increase in performance. Motor Trend did a write up on the A-Spec. Here is the link.

I have the a-spec kit and 20" wheels and there really is not a lot of gap but I think I will get the suspension so it can handle a little better but you don't really need it.

I got the whole aspec package with wheels and badging, but am considering debadge with ronjon aerokit and smoked lights!!!

Not much of a difference between stock suspension and aspec on appearance, but with aspec wheels, fogetaboutit.
