Brake Replacement for 07 TL-S AT5??
Hello all,
The time has come to replace the front brake pads on my 07 TL-S. I was curious to see if any has used anything other than OEM replacement pads? I searched the subject and didn't find much.
Any help is appreciated! Links to the product would be even better!

i tried hawk hps, and got a rather school bus like squeek but only when i am parking
so try hawk ceramic... or go back to stock... but stock has 2 flaws, extremely dusty, and they wear way to fast thus why you have an 07 and already needs new pads

Anyone have any Hawk ceramic pads that can share any input?

Acura replaced the "old" Brembo spec at some point with the following changes:
- Included Shims
- Replaced Molycote M77 Grease with Brembo Grease.
I've got an '07 TL-S as well and have never had a squeak or groaning issue.
I recently replaced the 1st set of pads with a new set of OE pads and used the new shims and Brembo grease. No problems. I chose to accept the dust and faster wear.
Reason I stayed with OE pads is because I was not changing or turning the rotors and did not want to risk noise from Pad/Rotor material incompatibility.
When I replace the rotors, I am currently planning on Racing Brake Slotted with RB ET300 or ET500 pads. I have the RB combo on my '02 TL-S and dust is better than the '07 and stopping power is fantastic. Also, no noise (used M77 grease).

Save the $60 and take your wife/gf out for dinner.
BTW - dealer rates are high. Full $210-ish retail on the pads, $100/hr labor. If they turn the rotors, and they will want to, add another $100 or so. $400 - $500 quote for new pads and old rotors.

Why? If they are not warped, they have even wear/runout/parallelism and you're staying with the same pad compound, what's the point?
Turning rotors for no reason just removes material --> heat builds faster --> rotors warp sooner.

Change when the pads get to ~1.6mm or when they hit the metal squealer tabs.
