Borla Exhaust

Probably one of the best sounding systems out there. I went to the website, no custom fit systems for the TL. Just wondering, has anyone installed a Borla exhaust system on the TL? If so, lets hear some sound clips

I've had Borla exhausts on my previous cars -- all three were custom-made. So it consisted of Borla mufflers with a shop custom-making the piping.

Does Borla have that muscle car sound? I prefer something with a G35/350Z sound.

i think Borla makes a catback for the Honda Accord V6 which would probably fit the 3G TL. you can ask around. good luck.

They make a system for the Lambo Gallardo, I don't see why they would not make one for the TL. Somebody should take the lead and contact them about getting a system designed.

Go here Borla and submit a request. The more that they get these requests, the more likely we will get our exhaust.

submitted one for the girlfriend, as i know how much she wants a Borla system for MY car...

i have over 300k miles on one of these systems for my Toy pickup, and would certainly buy another for the TL.

I don't know. I had the Neuspeed exhaust on my S2000 (made by Borla) and people actually found that it *lost* power. I want proof that Borla is good for more than just the sound.

Angry

I called Borla today and spoke with the development department and they feel the TL is more of a luxury car in which owners like the quiet of the car so they do not intend to design or even reccomend any Borla compnentsto fabricate a system. They feel it will be too "boomy" and most owners would not like it. I asked about the V6 Accord system and they said it is noisy and boomy but Accord buyers tend to younger, more tolerent to noise etc because the it is not a "luxury car". He could not/will not confirm if this system will fit the TL or not. He said in closing if I really want a system try Comptech.

haha. What are they? Progressive.
I could see a local autopart store saying this but not a company like this.
"Uhhh, we suck but CT is the shit "

The only thing I am scared about with custom exhaust is loosing my nice tune exhaust note. Now ACCURATEIn?? exhaust sounds hot but I dont want to convert to a single exhaust.

Check out this link....btwix has a custom exhaust and IMO it sounds great. subinf is the one that talked me into getting my own exhaust built. I am having mine built on Tuesday, this is what I am going with

2 - Magnaflow SS Mufflers
1- Magnaflow SS Resonator 14'
2.5 pipe from cat to the Y
2.25 pipe from the Y to the mufflers
and after market tips, I don't like the stock tips ( I maybe one of the only that feels that way)

btwix awesome exhaust

The Magnaflows that I bought

i think you are really going to like the way your car sounds. i originally kept the stock tips though put on some magnaflow ones when one of the stock ones was damaged. its been a mixed reaction, a lot of people think they look good, others dont like straying from the oem styling. i go back and forth...although i dont think that swapping tips kills the image of the car.
