Question Boosted S

OK With all the info on Hondata coming out with the reflashes for the S/C's...I still have the question of will the CT S/C fit the type-s? Most of the other bolt ons fit...and Lookinco has the 3.5 block out of the RL, S/C'd...as far as I can gather the 3.5 is just the 3.2 with a lil increase in stroke and some internal work...so whats to say it wont fit? has anyone tried? With the Hondata development, I am seriosly considering the S/c.....any input?

i can check for you if the motor measurements on my 3.2 TL and you can post yours and that can help. Also I will post the instructions on the installation, check to see if the bracket that the SC uses is still in the correct place. I hope this can help.

BUT YOU WILL NEED THE CAR TO BE TUNED PROFESSIONALY BECAUSE THE COMPTECH ACM IS NOT CONFIGURED FOR THE 3.5 MOTOR NEEDS!!!!!!! RUNNING WITHOUT A TUNE CAN DAMAGE THE ENGINE SEVERELY.

I am not that good with all these techincal mumbo jumbo, in simple terms, does the air manifold mean the air intake system? I am aware that is was changed, but only the filter to allow more air to enter the motor easily, this won't pose a big problem as you are going to be supercharged.

no, from what I understand, the intake mainfold after the Throttle body is supposedly wider, covering more engine, thus fitment issues....

That wouldn't matter since the throttle bodies are the same, thus meaning that the blower can bolt up fine as the throttle bodies are interchangeable. All the SC needs to do is bolt up the SC to there, and since it can fit on the holes that the 3.2 TL uses, it can fit on the 3.5 as the same body is used. Just my opinion on it. In all honesty, I would get a used charger from one of the guys on the board and see if it works, if not you can resell it, but if it does, you save money and the potentional loss of money.

What's different about the manual? I though all they changes was they installed a restrictor in the clutch slave to keep you from coming out of the clutch too fast and breaking gear teeth.

the manual TL's have a different mounting location. But if you are talking about the intake manifold, the part numbers have changed, most likely to feed the new beast.

Kennedy: i was talking about the type-s intake manifold supposedly being wider and going further side to side than the 3.2...but that might not have anything to do with how the S/C mounts, I havent looked too far into it...

Gotcha, I though you were implying the manual tranny was different on the Type-S, which i was nt aware of. I know the S auto was upgraded significantly, the S Manula had a clutch update described above, but otherwise I was under the impression the manual was pretty bulletproof.
