Same setup, just used the Rotora ceramic pads.

I recently changed up my front pad OEM from Acura. I was thinking your route too but shipping is expensive for the rotors because they are pretty heavy. I was going to do the slotted/drill combo front rotors with Racing Brake pads but the final bill came up to be around $550cdn!! So I decided to go with the cheaper route from Acura!! Don't think it was worth spending another $400-500 more vs Acura. If we live down south it would be worth doing it!! Otherwise, for best performance and looks would be the BBK set up!!! But that would be a lot more $$$ though!!

PS....we need some pics of your ride!!! Looking good from the avitar!!!

RacingBrake rotors with RB ET500 pads, these things just keep feeling better the more i drive with them. GREAT stop, no noise and low dust, I love them! ....got mine from heeltoe

I had the stock rotors with the aspec pads and they were great, but i wanted something better that didnt rust as much. They wont disappoint.

From Heeltoeauto.com the numbers are as follows, but not sure if they are what Acura uses....they are a scortched pad.

Fronts: 08P89-SEP-200R2
Rear: 08P89-SEP-200R1

And i understand that all rotors rust, but mine seemed to rust even if there was no water around. The RB rotors still rust a little, but not as much and not as often.

1) Yes.
2) What you get if you get the ASPEC package on a non-Brembo equiped TL.
3) Don't know, but it's around (doesn't look like it matters for you, though).

I love my A-spec pads, great stopping power. Only downside is they dust a bit more than OE pads, but less than the brembo's! Also my RB rotors get some light surface rust when the car sits outside and it rains. A quick spin around the block and its gone!

Umm, okay, after reading all of your posts and going through everything, ALL ROTORS RUST. The longer they sit, the more they rust. It's bare steel, each and every one of them are made of iron.

That said, I've done a lot of installs for myself and helped my newb friends. I currently have Rotora rotors with ceramic pads (from Excelerate). They are quiet and perform like stock TL-S Brembos, but most of the dust is eliminated. It's nice to not have to clean your wheels every 3 days.

Most of my friends with slotted or drilled rotors get a bit more dust, but it all depends on the parts. Ceramic pads always leave less dust. Slotted and cross drilled rotors do have a quicker bite when stomping the brakes, but both straight rotors and slotted/crossdrilled still turn on the ABS in hard driving.

All that said, if you drive your car on weekends and like to pound it, go with slotted or crossed rotors. If it's a daily driver, go with an upgrade rotor (such as rotora) and ceramic pads.

There are tons of posts on this everywhere, but it all depends on your driving style and amount of use.

Good luck.
