Best aftermarket Pad and Rotor combo

So my front brakes need replacing. I have a 2004 automatic and they are squeaking and the rotors are warped. I have done a good deal of reasearch on here reading about warped rotors. Some say its from over-torquing the lugnuts passed the recommended 80 ft/lbs. But whatever the reason may be, my fronts are definitely warped. The rotors on the car look like OEM acura rotors, and I do not believe the rotors have been replaced completely before. At least not in the recent history. The car currently has 110,000 on it. I called local acura dealers, honda dealers, and shops and its about $220 to have the rotors turned and new pads. I did some research and for me to buy new rotors and new pads could put me somehwere right around the $200 mark. I havent ever changed the brakes before but I have read the forums in the 3G garage on it including these two:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/brakes-caliper-o-h-pad-repl-hoses-bleed-disc-specs-park-brake-adj-3g-garage-d-041-a-578017/
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/replacing-brakes-pictures-3g-garage-d-041-a-770166/

These have helped along with a few other threads but I feel like i can do it.

My real question lies in what "stock oem fitting" rotors and pads I should get for my car. There are so many different rotors and pads and the only thing im really sure about is too buy the slotted, not drilled (im no racer and dont need cracking) and ceramic pads. But im open to any ideas. Here are a few I have found and remember I have a 04 matic so no brembos here.

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...eering#reviews

Im open to anything but cant really spend $1,500 on a big ass brake kit although i would love to have one.

Thanks!!!

We've found the STOPTECH/Powerslot rotors to be extremely durable. They have a power alloy compound with a curved vane construction (for the TL non-Brembo). They also have a black protective coating on the hubs and vanes. Additionally the pads are a low dust, low noise pad with good initial bite and great long-term performance.

I do NOT recommend turning your existing rotors. They are prone to distortion and shaving material off will only make them more prone to distortion.

I'm running the StopTech's that are in the XLR8 post, and I have the A-Spec Brake pads. It's a great combination for me.

I've been running the Powerslot rotors and EBC Red pads since early November and am pretty pleased with this setup. Strong stopping power, less fade, and the coated areas of the rotors are resisting rust much better than oem rotors. The EBC's were a little noisy for the first 1k or so, but that's normal for those pads and has since subsided.

i hate my EBC red's... they are extremely dusty and noisy... i plan on getting Duralast Gold Cmax pads, and powerslot rotors next.

I have had me TL since new, it's an 04. I put the cross drilled STOP TECH rotors with the pads and they where great stopping, but i believe they warped to quick. Then I bought a new set from CBrakes and they where worst. I went back to the OEM disks, and I have had no complaints with the eception that they make some noise until they warm up, after that they are good for the buck!

Performance brakes tend to dust more. It's not a flaw. And as far as the noise, did you install them with new rotors or turn the old ones?

Thanks for all the input!!! But the stoptech rotors seem to be a little out of my price range. Is there anything in the $200-$250 price range or a little more that is still a great setup? Has anybody tried these or anything close:

With all the different manufactures out there, there must be another slightly less expensive but still reliable rotor and pad setup out there. I would love to have the stoptech rotors and pads that XLR8 sells but i am just trying to save some coin. But thanks again for all the help!!

Our package includes all 4 rotors and pads. You can also see individual components on the website.

I only need the front two rotors and two pads. I want a durable rotor that is very dependable and hard to warp and it seems like other members have either had great braking with STOPTECH or they warped like the quote above. I know that all brakes can and probably will warp one day but i want the combo that is least likely as i dont have money to throw around at the moment. Are the STOPTECH rotors the least likely to warp?

Why not just go stock if you're worried about pricing. I'm guessing you don't go to track daily or anything, so anything similar to stock will be OK in every category you can think of.

We've had great experiences with STOPTECH rotors. They are extremely durable. Of course, if someone over-torques the lug nuts and doesn't do the bed-in procedure you can get a vibration. Install it right, break it in right. You'll be fine. We've had maybe only a few issues with customers warping STOPTECH discs in the course of 4 years of STOPTECH sales.

i did not install them with new rotors, or turn them but my rotors were in pretty good shape. and some members on this board do not recommend turning our rotors in belief that they warp faster...

i dont track or race my TL so i would prefer less dusty pads, with barely hindered performance.
