Does anyone have a clue to what size belt you would need to run without the AC pump? Has anyone done this mod?

 

Take your belt wrap it around all the other accessories and see how much you need less and take it to the store...But I dunno how it will work with the tensioner. Gotta look at the belt routing. Also I was wondering why you would want to do that to the TL??

 

It's not really the typeof car that most people would even consider this mod. It's not a race car and the amount of power you get from this is negligable. Maybe on a Camaro,Mustang aor maybe even a Civic, but not a TL...

Thanks That was my plan. I just though someone already did it? I want to get more power I plan to do a before and after dyno run as my next mod after runners and maifold are dynoed

 

Shouldnt be much...The only thing you get with AC gone is weight savings IF you pull the whole system out. As for the pulley itself it doesnt drag much...The AC draws a load only when the clutch itself is activated by the AC button...Most of the time it just spins there.
