Battery

I am looking for an extreme light weight battery. The OEM is heavy as hell. Any ideas?

Is braille a good brand?

i have the 21lb braille and it works great. you can go lighter, but this one has more CCA for the winter.

"CCA is the short form for Cold Cranking Amps. It is a test of a battery for 30 Seconds in the cold weather. "

the braille B3121 has 550CCA, and has a higher Amp/Hr reserve than the others.

here is mine i have the 21lb CF. i've had it a while now. it's perfect. you can lay it down or stand it up, when you install it. i laid mine down to show off the brand name. i made a custom base and tie down, others have used the stock tie down. and its fine.

I never knew the stock battery was so heavy. Talk about weight savings.

I saw batteries that weighed 6lbs

get an optima yellow top. mine only weighs 51lbs!!

on the plus side, its relocated to the trunk for better weight distribution kinda offsets the weight of the supercharger.

I think the stock battery is around 40lbs, but it feels heavier. I also have the braille 21lb. After 4 months in the weather season, and no issues.

if you order the 21lbs battery

6" jhooks are pointless
8" jhooks if you are going to mount sideways
10" if you want to mount standing up

ps. the 15lbs all season battery should also be suffice if it is your daily driver... if you have a system or park your car for an extended period of time, 21lbs is the way to go
