Base 2004 Acura TL Performance Mods

Hey guys! Just got my 2004 Acura TL 2 weeks ago, drove around to get used to it a little bit. My first Acura so please I need help on how to make my TL faster WITHOUT forced inductio, too pricey haha. I mean please any tips are welcome. These are all maybe's but I was thinking along the lines of, an AEM CIA, Greddy Evo II, Denso Iridium Spark Plugs, and a Sun Auto Hyper Grounding Kit. But I DON'T KNOW. Please help me out. Best CIA & Exhaust and all other tips to boost up horsepower. Thanks in advance!

Plenty of threads on here, you gotta search before you post

I'm guessing you got most of your info off of the Yahoo answer page (Its ok, we've all been there probably).

The best intake has been highly debated on, you'll find plenty of opinions on that, the Greddy has been discontinued for some time, the latter two things are just gimmicks.

What you probably want is the following in order:

Jpipe (RV6, XLR8 and ATLP all have great products with different advantages and similar price points, I went with RV6 because low end torque on a DD is key imo).

High flow precats or Pre cat deletes - RV6 is the only way to go here really, this is probably the biggest single power adder on a budget.

Exhaust - Personal preference, ATLP, XLR8 are probably the best way to go if you want tried and true. If you're willing to take a chance on a new product, I would check out Bruce's (acktl05 on here) new exhaust on endlessrpm.com. Its a new Magnaflow based exhaust that's coming out that I put down money on and I'm excited to see how it does.

Cold air intake - Again, lots of debate on the best one, I personally like the AEM V2.

This is just a basic idea to get you started and remember that with a TL, you need to pay to play. Nothing here is cheap or will net you tons of gains. Keep that in mind when you're deciding how to spend (or waste) your money.

haha yeah I did get it off there! I have been looking so much, so many different options which is why I need opinions! Can I get a true dual exhaust on a Base '04 TL? Or would I need an Aspec or Type S Rear Lip? And aren't cat deletes and high flow cats non-street legal? I'm with you fasho on that intake though. Thanks a lot by the way!

For the exhaust I meant wouldn't I need a different rear kit for these two rather than the base. Which one's the better exhaust? ATLP Quad or XLR8 Catback? Thanks.
