What's up.. Yea i sold my stock exhaust to a friend and got atlp quads.. I've been car less for about a week and probably till another 1-2 weeks since its in the body shop getting a face lift.. I say just stick with rv6/atlp.. Aftermarket parts aren't always 100% and like oem quality but the performance makes up for all of that.

for atlpv2jpipe owners here is a good way to see if your jpipe is vibrating . adjust driver seat all the way back until it touches (lay) on the back seat. have it in N or P gear and quickly punch n release the gas pedal. if you feel the floor board slightly vibrate then you know what iam talking about.

acura performance and "total luxury". the part does provide good curves and usualble power but i didnt notice the vibration until the engine ecm adjusted to the new part. i cant fix this problem . i think the design was a fail. the oe stock unit uses two bolts to hang up the part where the atlp uses one. maybe this is the problem. i like the uniqueness of the jpipe but there are drawbacks, so no this isnt a dream-like part. ill prolly ditch it sooon like i do with everything else i install. i dont reccommend this for someone who spend 20racks on a type s

Seriously though, I don't know why people continue to think the ecu takes more than a few seconds to minutes to "adjust" to any basic bolt on mod anyway.

Lol, the ecu "adjusted" to the new pipe and increased the vibration level. I wasn't aware this was one of the parameters governed by the ecu.

trust me the ecm "not ecu" adjusted smart guy. but that is true. the vibrations wasnt there before and is there now. lets see i tighten the hanger 1st then the pcd to jpipe and jpipe to testpipe and testpipe to exhaust. it isnt noticable when iam going only when iam parked

Haven't had this problem with the RV6. I'm guessing it only does it at certain RPM's. Probably just the exhaust resonating at just the right frequency at a certain RPM.
Anyway, haven't heard of this before from other ALTP owners, but most of them were v1 I believe. Good luck getting it sorted

1st i would like to say to justin. iam sorrry i made fun of your mechanic ethics and your errors. i truly am. please understand it was only comedy.
octgan i dont know u or rarely paid attenion to you but you need to chill out.
a lot of people critizce what i have to say and think iam fcking around but the truth is iam not.
lastly i would like marus of heeltoe to warranty my defective jpipe for a new one if its possible, i bought it from a azine memeber.
eveeryone here seem to never forget my rv6 jpipe review. the truth is i did loose some noticeble power but the pcd made up for it every little bit. nice thick solid peices . and richard have nothing but respect from me everysince then
ATLP V2 jpipe is a good part, but not grade a, but it sure was better than the rv6 jpipe. a little vibration doesnt hurt but u know, people r picky nowaday

^ You'd think so. But increased flow is usually the result of freeing up the restrictions that muffle the sound of the exhaust. If you removed the exhaust system altogether it would be hella loud.
I haven't experienced what kingkong_dav is describing but it doesn't sound like an impossiblity. Exhaust from a four stroke engine is emitted in a series of waves that can cause vibrations and resonance that can be pretty annoying. Engineering and correct installation are key.

First - don't feed the troll.
Second - don't buy performance parts if you can't deal with them.
Third - It's probably not even that bad so just stfu.
Fourth - All my upgrades feel amazing. No vibrations (until I put my poly motor mounts in). Rides like stock but better! This kingkong guy just exists specifically the irritate more knowledgeable members and sway newer members away from making good decisions.
