Special-ed, you mean level as in eye to eye with the exhaust tips? So a lower shot closer to the ground, or something as if you were just standing up?

Sorry, the tips aren't sold separately.

Here are a few sound clips, but they don't do the exhaust any justice.

After looking at the videos-

"WHAT?!!? The J series has a tone and not just a hum with aftermarket exhausts!?!?"

Which is a good thing

Yeah, more eye-to-eye but from further back away. The rear view shot that you have on the ATLP site is more of the "standing up" shot. Just trying to get a different view.

Also, not sure if any of you guys originally did the mid-muffler delete to the stock setup before getting this new setup installed, but if you did, would you say the ATLP setup is alot louder, a little bit louder, or about the same when compared to the mid-muffler delete? I really like the looks of this exhaust so just want to make sure.
Thx!

I'll get an eye-to-eye.

I did all stages of the mid-muffler/resonator delete, and I think this a "perfect" amount louder. Although it's biased, you can ask ib18c1. It's loud enough to appreciate it's presences, but not loud enough to be obnoxious.

If you are talking about the stage # with stock mufflers, it is louder. ATLP produces a deep sexy tone, very EUROPEAN imo. When AZNBO187 demonstrated the sound of the ATLP, I can almost garantee you that it sounds VERY similiar to a B4 Audi S4 (2001+ model, non V8) with aftermarket exhaust.

I've been through a total of 4 exhausts on my TL, NONE of them comes close to producing ATLP's tone and sound. The magnaflows / Tanabes I've had only produced a masculine American V6 sound, Very similiar to a 3g eclipse v6 with an exhaust. ATLP produces a very euro deep mellow tone.

So i guess it depends what you want, an eclipse V6 with exhaust or an audi s4 V6tt sounding car

about loudness...

I have not been inside a car with ATLP yet, I have only heard it drive by and take off. The sound is 2x louder imo than stage 3. Stage 3 produced a very dry somewhat raspy note, ATLP is deep, so of course it will be louder inside and outside.

based from my experiences...

Stage3 = 3/10
2.5" piping + stage3 + magnaflow 11" muffler = 7/10
2.25" piping + 11" midmuffler + tanabe = 5/10
2.25" piping + 11" midmufler + magnaflow quads = 6/10

ATLP would fall somewhere in between a 5 to a 6 for me

PM me if you want vids to compare

I think a 5-6 is about right. To me it sounds pretty quiet inside the cabin, surprisingly! And that's with my backseats, shelf, and trunk gutted out. So it's going to be a very comfortable ride inside. It's a good amount quieter vs. the 3.5.

those are perfect, now just get a straight a$$ shot from like 15-20 feet away at that level! LOL!

Yes....I'm very anal when it comes to things like this!

Actually on one of your vids, you have the rear shot perfect. I'm just looking for a daytime pic.

just so that everyone knows, there is an exhaust system up for grabs in our annual christmas charity drive. A $600 donation is enough to win, as of right now, there's been no donations big enough. Don't miss out on this chance to take it home for half it's asking price!!!

donate now

Since the link on the first post is broken, lemme ask a few questions;

What are the gains (whp?)?
What's the cost for the entire setup?
For 04 - 06 models, a new rear aspec lip is necessary for it to fit?

I'm considering this exhaust or Greddy. Lmk.

Hey Tyler, sorry for the broken link...doing some changes on the site.

http://www.acuratlparts.com/ and simply go to ATLP exhaust on the drop down, or just PM me with any questions that you can't find the answer to!

Hey Mike...
I haven't paid my deposit, but it looks like I might be the lucky winner of the ATLP exhasut donated to the Christmas drive.

I haven't received any winner confirmation yet, as I don't believ they've been processed, but I was informed by the mods that I was the ONLY guy to contribute over $600 to the Christmas drive last night.

I can't believe how nicely that worked out... I was happy with a chance at winning. I figured my odds would have been 1 in 4/5... not 1 to 1. I got to give to a nice charity, got a SWEET exhaust out of the deal, and get a nice tax deduction to boot. Merry Christmas to me and the kids.

Needless to say, I can't wait to bolt this dude on. I've already ordered my TL-S lip.

Thank you again for your genorocity. Let's get this buy finished up...

Awesome. We will still need to wait until the deposit list is fulfilled. If it was someone with a 07, I would have made sure he got it by Christmas sorry!

Anyway, I'm actually as excited as you are! I was hoping it would encourage more people to donate more..I guess not?

Haha LOL! I knew it. I had a feeling you were the one and if I didn't blow over 7k this month between buying christmas gifts, plane tickets back to Indy/Chicago for the holidays, and 4 new business suits you can bet your aZZ I was going to throw at least $600 at it.

You must be a small business owner because we definitely think alike.

BTW, let me see what the budget will allow. Unless my stock exhaust just happens to rust out which in this case, will allow me to purchase this piece of machinery before year's end and write it off on my taxes.

Is a discount being offered for this first batch? Thx.

There already has been a good amount cut down on the msrp and shipping has been included in the cost as well. I'm aiming for this to be budget conscious, but my priority is still quality over anything else.

I hope your exhausts rusts...in a good way. =)
