Aren't the headers welded onto the engine? IDK

The j-pipe might be a tad over priced but my bet is down the road people will be beggin to pick them up, even used. I think his j-pipe will have the best gains.

I too hope that they produce significant gains to warrant the price. I'm not a women but even my mind could be changed in the future and decide that $400 is reasonable. Like others have stated, it probably depends on the HP gains. The pics I've seen of these J-pipes on here do look well constructed so I'll agree that it looks like a professional job. As far as fart cans... I don't think so. My point was that most of us wouldn't change the stock exhaust to ANYTHING for $1,000. Others would. no problem there. It's not like the ones who wouldn't spend $1,000 would spend $500 on the "fart cans". Heck, I did consider buying someone's Comptech exhaust off the black market (for something around $600 I think).

yes, they really arent any "headers" on the car, that can be replaced. they are cast right into the engine block. all the exiting airflow is forced through the cats, the jpipe (a-pipe) and the exhaust

Speaking of gains, is there a dyno chart for the ATLP exhaust?

yea give or take. i think that dyno was with a 6spd.... so a 5AT will probably see like 9whp or so....

ive gotten my 5AT up to 261whp with this Jpipe, im hoping to get near 270... hopefully

Not so ugly anymore.

Feel. So far it DEFINITELY feels like a solid gain all around, especially mid-range. Immediate throttle response compared to stock. The torque is a lot stronger and it feels like the car is a lot more eager to jump out of it's seat when you want it to.
Sound didn't change much on the exhaust...maybe a tiny bit but I can't say for sure therefore it must not be a big change...if any.

Dyno's coming soon!

Pre-orders are being accepted just go to the link below.

whats the possibility of getting one that leads to 2.25" piping? I don't want to cause bottlenecking by using 2.5" to 2.25"...

The factory j-pipe actually also leads to just a tad below 2.5". It's not 2.25" until after the 3rd cat I believe.

I can do paypal, just send the payment to mike@acuratlparts.com. Make sure you add a 3% paypal transaction fee on top of the amount for each paypal transfer.

Practically identical to a CAI/any exhaust set up...perfect (as far as I'm concerned as that's what I have). For some reason I thought you had ProCats. I'm really looking forward to seeing the dyno results. I'm sure you're getting tired of hearing that (we're like broken records, huh?), but with good results on what is essentially the set up I have, I'll be picking this up (yeah, like you haven't heard that one either ). Thanks for you work on this.

So if I'm not mistaken the ATLP quad tip exhaust and the ATLP J-pipe will fit an '06 TL, as long as Type-S bumper is put on for the quad tip exhaust, is that right? If so I might get both, and skip on the procats.

Or all three if there is no loss in throttle response.

That is correct but now that I look at your profile the did not make a tls bumper painted in your color. Will someone please confirm?

You would have to order a bumper and have it painted to match.

TL-S Bumper not available in Anthracite, gotta get it custom painted...

Or you could do NBP Front Lip, Side Skirts, and Rear Lip. (NO ONE HAS DONE IT YET, It would be a one off!!!)

I would love to get a TL-S rear lip... but I have an anthracite too and I already have a 2006 rear A-spec lip. Oh well, work with what ya got I suppose. I would have to sink too much money into converting the ass end of my car... I want to paint the center black part (between the tailpipes) a darker black to give it more contrast... it blends in too much with the Anthracite paint.

I'm thinking I'll get the GReddy exhuast with the ATLP J-pipe assuming the gains are enough.
