I found this on eBay , my question is, could the lower flange be replaced on the odd "Pre cat " and this be utilized? Obviously I don't need that j pipe but looking for an inexpensive way to delete these cats . Will I run into a length problem? This would go on an 08 tl-s or what if I just ask them to send two of the correct flanged cats minus the pipe? It'd be like 100$ if this would work.
I wanted to fab my own pre cat deletes. I found these for j30... the bottom flange on one needs changed. Other than that... why not?? Inner diameter?? Bc i can find no dimensions
I was also going to straight pipe my old ones to make my own PCD, not sure the pros and cons on the aftermarket ones but decided to order the RV6 PCDs. Those should work fine but you would also want to add a defouler for the CEL.
The more I studied it I realized it is an inner diameter issue as the j30 kit is like 2.040 inner on one and 2.6.. something on the other. 150 is just a lot easier to come up with atm than 380 so getting this until I had the extra 380 seemed like it would let me play now. Thanks for the defouler tip
If youre up to the challenge I suggest to straight pipe your stock cats, I really don't think there is any major differences in that and a PCD. I just have time otherwise I would've done that. If you do let us know how it goes
