Air Temp Sensor Relocation

I got involved in a thread yesterday about CAI's which resulted in me calling AEM asking a question about the Threaded nipple near the TB. I learned this threaded nipple is for relocating the Air Temp Sensor from the Intake to the CAI tube! This is result tricks the car into thinking it is cooler than is truley is by reading what would obviously be a lower temp thus producing a richer fuel delivery! Now I now "Lean is Mean" per say but.........

Who has tried this and what is everyones feeling about it???

It's pointless. Just leave sensor where it is.

Here is a link that is dedicated to discussing the pros and cons of moving the IAT sensor.
In the link provided below, be warned that some people called the IAT sensor as a O2 (oxygen) sensor. It is *not* an oxygen sensor. It is an Intake Air Temperature sensor.

That is some good info! It sounds like the gentleman with the G meter pretty much proved that moving the IAT into the CAI shows gains! I love it when people can do side by side testing with some kind of hard evidence

I wonder what the "gains" do to fuel economy?
