AEM V2 Intake

Hello. I just put in the AEM V2 in my 04 TL. I was a bit concerned about the noise, but to my surprise on the low end it has a nice rumble. Now, when I peddle it, it really sounds nice, and I definitely can feel the increase in power. I got it on AMAZON.COM for $262.00 with free shipping. In addition to the V2 I have a UNORTHODOX pulley, a voltage regulator and I eliminated two of the resonators with a 3 inch exhaust up to the mufflers. These modifications have given my car a wake up call for the best. I will be adding on the ATLP Cat Back System for the base model.

Good choice on AEM...I love their dry-flow filters. Never need to be oiled.

I have the aem v2 also, the first few weeks I noticed the sound on heavy throttle, but now I barely notice it. And it definitely does NOT give any extra horsepower that you can FEEL. It's probably all in your head. But congrats on installing it.

I can't say your wrong. Maybe the throttle growl give's me that feeling. But after all the talk regarding more or the same horse power with the V2, why has'nt anyone dyno'ed the car before and after? I still believe it give's the car it a bit of something!

How long did it take you to install the cai? I just ordered mine yesterday and was debating on doing it myself or taking it to an autosports shop.

It takes about 1.5 hours or so. You can access everything by removing the wheel and then the splash shield.

Yea it's definitely doable by an amateur. CAI install was the first time I ever worked on a car. I took the bumper off instead of the wheel so I might have done a bit more than necessary too. You can definitely tackle it in an afternoon.

I just checked at AMAZON, and I found three of the AEM V2's staring at $265.00!! You have to put in the search space the following; in the menu at the top of the page sellect AUTOMOTIVE. In the next blank space put AEM Air Intake 24-6110c, and hit GO! There it is baby!! Let me know if you find it! You can check my album, there are a few pictures with the AEM V2 24-6110C installed in my car, check it out!

Please help

I installed my new aem v2 intake but i left in the old hoses that I disconnected because there was an extra hose attached to the hose that was connected to the top of the motor to the firewall. Do I need to just buy another hose so that I can take out the hose cluster or do I need to just try and rip out the old hoses with messing up the hose I mentioned.

You're new AEM V2 should of brought 2 new replacement hoses! You just follow each hose to the base where each on starts and ends, pull it out and replace. You will eliminate a metal tubbing which is a factory piece, very easy. You will have to custome size each new hose, by cutting the excess hose. Let me know how it goes. If you look at my album, you will see my V2 installed.

I already have it installed, I just left the old hoses in the car disconnected because there was a hose that was connected to the two old hoses. How do I disconnect the two old hoses from the one hose?

Pics might help. But, leaving vacuum hoses dangling on one end is a bad idea. Not "catastrophic failure" bad, but just "dumb" bad. Post up some pics of what you're talking about.

I will post up some pics when I get home. I ziptied the hoses to the other hoses so they are not just dangling.
