AEM Intake Install Question

So I am thinking about getting the intake, but keep reading about how you basically have to destroy the OEM resonator box to remove it, is this true? I need the ability to return the car to stock, will I be able to do this if I install the AEM? Also, when I need to clean the filter I'm gonna have to remove the front wheel and fender liner, correct? Thanks

1. You will have to remove the wheel well liner to change the filter after 40-50,000 miles.

2. You do not destroy the resonator box when uninstalling the OEM intake... you drill out two rivets in the res.box that can be fixed w/ two screws when you go back to stock.

yes to 1st Q. only if you don't want to take off the whole bumper. if you do, then you can save it for later. now, the whole resonator assembly is only like $60 bucks. worry about getting one when you need it then. you can't pay me $60 to take off and put back on the bumper.

yes to 2nd Q.

now a trick to save u $60 bucks.
after taken everything off, use a hand/hack saw to cut to tube off from just above the resonator. put that 10" tube back on the stock filter box(very light. no tie needed. well put a hose clamp on for all i care). now you have a no-resonator mod. nobody will be able to tell from the top unless they take your car apart. good for inspection and major dealer warranty job if you are worried. i can sense a little pickup + sound from this mod too. hope this helps.
