Aem or Injen

Not to beat a dead horse but im looking for opinions on a exaust intake combination. Ive been out of the mmodification seen for a while and dont know much about acuras. Any help would be appreciated. Ive done the Injen on a G35 and was very satified with the results. Ive heard AEM is better for Hondas though. Dont have a clue about exaust though

I have the Comptech exhaust and the Injen intake combination myself. Not installed the Injen CAI yet.....(waiting until after first oil change) but I heard the Injen and the AEM are about the same for the most part>? Injen is a little pricier though....both get the same results though.

It all comes down to personal preference. Neither one will outperform the other brand due to the same design of the intake.

Does AEM make the V2 for the 3G? I heard that the AEM was a little better if the filter gets wet or goes into the water.

Because I have had the Injen I know it looks clean Especially since i can get it in black. As far as i kn ow the aem only comes in chrome. I love the induction noise that it makes also. Is this stuff that I can find on the aem also.

FYI: A few of the 2nd Gen members have had their AEM intakes break in half while driving. A few people have experienced this more than once. No reported problems from the Injen CAI. The design of the two is nearly identical and any horsepower differences between the two are going to be less than 5whp (which you can't feel or even see on a dyno)

It is very likely your gas mileage will go DOWN. It does for most who install a cold air intake. It is not the intake. You will just become addicted to the sound when the pedel is to the floor anf RPM is up-- you will just want to hear that roar . . .

The AEM cold air intake system (and the Injen) are NOT sold to increase fuel economy.

oh lol... well shit, nm that then. Gas is 2.50 a gallon and going up, im about to go terrorist myself if something is not done about this. I wonder when ppl are going to put their foot down and just tell the arab families "go fuck yourselves assholes!!" unfortunately the oil companies have the new modes of transportation market by the balls i.e. hybrids and such. We could easily make new forms of energy to run our cars, its just too much of a hassle for auto companies to switch production lines. Honda actually has made a hydrogen powered car and has leased 13 in cali already to normal everday ppl. it leases for 200 a month (even though the car costs 1 mil apparently). I cant wait until that becomes the norm... well.. we will see. I hope gas prices stop going up, there is no god damn reason for it. "estimated" this and "projected decrease in supply" my ass. Its all the arab families and their greedy little paws wanting more fucking palaces, and the rich families in texas (where i live) supporting Bush dont help.
Sorry political tangent, just really angry about this.

gas will keep going up, it won't come down, you'll just have to deal with that.

It's OK-- fuel really is not all that expensive in the USA compared to other countries. We will keep buying Arab oil until it is gone. We have lots of oil here in the USA-- but it is better to burn their oil now and save ours. Hell Mexico and Canada have lots of oil-- and if we really need it-- well -- we we will get it one way or another. Did you know that the USA is also the largest IMPORTER of electricity in the world-- we buy it from Canada. I'm old enough to remember the oil crisis of the '70's -- not only was it MORE expensive than it is now (in real dollars) but you could not get any . . . at least now, if you have the dollars you can have all you want-- there is no shortage. There is much to worry about in these time-- the price of fuel is NOT one of them.
