I need to decide on my very first mod... I ve been looking through all the posts and so on... most of people got the CAI ... but I am really worry about the hydrolock thing.... but I want the crazy sound and increase HP at same time.... I live in Maryland and weather is not that wet but sometimes very hard rain.. please help me make up my mind.... thanks bunch

You will not hydrolock unless you drive through a puddle that comes past your bumper which you shouldnt do even if you don't have a CAI. Just get the CAI. I live in MD too and have never had problems even slammed to the ground

I did both at the same time It was a nice improvement ! CAI sounds very nice if I had to pick one I think I'd pick the CAI

exhaust will get you hp, CAI will get you noise. i love my CAI, but if i had a choice cuz money wasnt an issue i would gut the stock intake and get the exhaust. the stock intake, from what some say, flows a lot better than most think so all your really doing is increasing the sound you hear and the "bling" under the hood. the only time a CAI really helps is when you add boost. i did it and am happy, minus my hydrolocked engine a few months ago, but the exhaust is probably the better mod as far as performance gains go.
