I have 6 new NGK Iridiums on the way from RockAuto. If I have anymore trouble, especially on the rear head, I'm going to use your advice above.

I literally had to take a long thin flat head screw driver & grind down the sides to make it sharp. Inserted it down the side of the SP tube and pushed down to cut the rubber at 3; 6; 9; 12 o'clock. Then it was just a matter of removing the bits with a long forceps.

Everything is going to get coated in dielectric grease, lol!

had the same happen on a 4cyl accord and broke it in half with the flat head and used a shop vac to suck out the pieces.

My Son brought his 2004 6MT over today.

We are going to change out his valve cover seals to stop a leak on the front head this Saturday.

Look at the difference between the M90 fuel line “Y” and the one going into the Turbo TL. Got a lil’ heft to ‘em!

Working on the M90 today. Going to see if there is any gunk/grime in the solenoids.

These are the two solenoids on the 04-08 Acura TL.

Undo the four bolts on the upper solenoid.

Here is a shot of the lower solenoid. There are six bolts and they are not easy to get to IF you don’t remove the one side bolt that holds the wiring harness plastic to the Auto tranny case.

Remove the pin holder and pin of the shifter

Here is the shifter free of the pin. There are also two nuts that hold the upper portion of the shifter that need to be removed.

I couldn’t find the bolt to remove the wiring harness plastic and worked around it. Not as fun as removing the bolt on the next pic.

Remove the bolt where my Fwanga’ is and your wiring harness plastic will be free, allowing you access to undo the six bolts of the lower transmission solenoid.

Here is the Transmission with the upper solenoid off.

Checking the upper solenoid it looks squeaky clean. I was hoping to find something.

The filters on both solenoid hadn’t a speck on them.

A pic of the lower transmission solenoid.

I add dielectric grease to any electrical plug I remove! This is great for long term corrosion prevention for you guys in humid environments and salty winters. If you the kind of guy who pressure washes their engine bay(I don’t) this will help keep water out of the plugs.

Pic of the transmission reassembled. Was easy to do. I thought there would be something to find in the solenoids like the Youtiube video I watched, but it was all super clean. So why is second locking on WOT for Peet’s sake!

some of that dielectric gets hard after being hot...I use silicone on anything rubber like the coil pack inserts.

Silicone will give good insulation, but is it as good at conductivity?

I just meant to make it easy to remove the coil packs later, not help with conduction.

I'm going to give this stuff I found at O'Reilly's a try for $2.99.

Amazon.com: Versachem 15309 Dielectric Spark Plug Boot Grease - 7 Grams: Automotive Amazon.com: Versachem 15309 Dielectric Spark Plug Boot Grease - 7 Grams: Automotive

It meets RS143's 100% Pure Silicone grease qualification requirement.
It meets Acura TL Builders Dielectric qualification requirement.

Good work Zeta!

Has anyone had any experience porting and polishing a Turbo/Rotrex interior? I plan to do this before I install it.

Is it any different than any other port and polish?

I was thinking of selling my 1998 Accord, but I think I’ll keep it to stave off the mileage on the TL I’m purchasing from @truonghthe.

When I worked on Ilyas Valve adjustment on his Type-S last weekend, it was difficult to keep the Valve nut in place before relocating the nut. This tool I got on amazon $25.

It allows you to to keep the nut at your desired depth and keep it in place while you lock it down with the built-in screwdriver. More efficient and accurate!

Waiting for entry at Cars and Coffee on Mustang day. Told my coworker about it yesterday. He brought his 2006 Mustang Saleen Extreme w/ 1200 miles on the clock. Only 87 examples Produced that year.

It’s been two years since supercharging? Still No check engine lights(knock on wood)

After a bit of research(Youtube watching), I will Port and Polish the Exhaust side of my Precision Gen 2 Turbo and smooth and polish the compressor side.

At the same time the Rotrex C92-38 unit compressor interior will be smoothed and polished.

Here are rough instructions on the procedure:

It seems time consuming and overkill. But in life, if you want to do something give it your all. The end result will put you ahead of your competition.

Yes, I did a WOT going to Cars and Coffee and it shifted 2-3 flawlessly. Though I didn’t try a second time. Wish I knew why it does that. Because what’s the use of building a 5AT tranny if it won’t shift? Though, I’m still going to build it.

Just guessing; however, maybe the ECU is helping to protect the engine?

I know that if I have my A/C on, during a very hot day, and decide to stomp on the gas, say going up an highway overpass, the A/C compressor will cease until normal cruise driving resumes.

When this first happened to me, years ago, I was like WTF. Then I read up on it in the Helms somewhere and found that the A/C will turn off temporarily under certain load conditions or something? I'll try and find it in the Helms.

I rarely drive that SSM anyway, majority of the time I pull the KBP out for 3 pedal therapy treatment.

I very much agree Zeta, That is why it allows me to do it the first time and disallows until engine restart. It’s not mechanical as it shifts just fine if I’m a hair from WOT.

Jeez, with all the mods on the MadMax TL, it drives so crisp and smooth! Geez I love the 3G!!

Im so excited about the upcoming new family member! This is perfect for the Comptech supercharger, because it is the only way I can get a 6MT 3.2L!

Bumper is back from paint. Thank you Zeta for the Paint source. This only took 1.5 years to complete.

Changed the Valve cover seals with my Son on his 6MT TL yesterday evening. Didnt do Valve adjustment as it was 11pm when we completed the seal change.

This used to happen to my Jeep TJ except it was the after cruising for a while I would lose vacuum at the little air direction flap and it would stop blowing cold in my face.
very analog vehicle, that's for sure.

how do you find the time to do all this and be a stepdad and work and have a relationship?
I fit a lot in but damn.

also that valve tool is to loosen and tighten the nut and fine tune adjust with the screwdriver, not the other way around.

I organize and prioritize very well. Also move quicker than most people, so naturally more tasks are completed per hour. Less research must be done if your absorbing it quickly. Work more hours.

I have post-it note pads and pen in every car, jacket and on my nightstand. That way I write any idea, chore, ect. on the paper and don’t have to remember it later, creating more mind bandwidth. Then take those stick it notes and organize them by priority and assign them a realistic date of completion.

This way you always have something scheduled in order of priority. If you can sneak something extra in then it’s icing on the progression cake.

Son is busy with University and part time job, wife has work and her own hobby.

Wife supports me in my endeavors. She likes the progress that happens and the turn outs of my projects, so she gives me the time to do them.

Today I Vacuumed and washed the interior of four vehicles.

MDX: Wife went to the beach and got sand Everywhere. Was a doozie to vacuum it all out.

Accord: I decided not to sell it because I have not yet seen one in as good condition and low miles like this one.
On my way to work, brake checked someone a while back and spilled my oatmeal in the passenger seat. Cleaned it all up. Its amazing how easy the seats are to clean!

Madmax TL: First time cleaning the interior since I uninstalled the Comptech S/C. Was fairly clean.

MRP TL-S: Cleaned this car for the first time since buying it. Spilled a fresh Venti Green Tea chai latte when flipping a quick U-turn in Seattle when I first got the car last year. Finally cleaned that up..

I put my favotire Essential oil, Lemongrass in to each car under the front seats so it will permeate into the facric over the next few days.

Three of the cars had bone dry door holders, so I used universal grease and greased up all the doors on 5 cars.

I just decided I wont be Mid-engining the turbo TL-S as it’s a gem of an example with factory sticker and new car smell(seriously).

I will rather chop the back of the Madmax TL and perhaps convert it to manual tranny in the process.

You think @truonghthe can't see the writing on the wall there for what fate will befall his beloved 6mt?

Also, Andy didn't care if you got a bumper, he just didn't want to be the one to sell it to you.

Wish he would replace my oem radiator. I filed with the BBB, but when they emailed me requesting his “business” address I redacted it because he was kind to me for a time, even if his personal engineering skills are Meh.

I will restore what needs it on Troungs 6MT and keep it as a weekend driver.

The Walbro 85c fuel pump, Bosch 550cc injectors, PnP’d Comptech S/C, AEM meth injection and battery relocation kit are all waiting to be installed on it.

It should have around 350-360whp.

Also I will purchase my first Antigravity battery which will save me 50+ lbs and at least 5hp(dynamically speaking).

They are so expensive!!

But if you gain 5-6hp, you may actually feel it because the loss is in weight.

If we go by the AZ HP/Dollar ratio of 1/$100, your getting triple-quintuple that.
