Wife and I took the TL light duty racecars out to Cars and Coffee.

Put the proper sticker on the S/C.

What do you think?

So much fun to drive the fruits of the labor.

Out in the PNW Gorge.

The starter started buzzing and then wouldn’t start when I moved the rubber part that kept it from buzzing. I rushed only that part and it came back to bite me.

“Big Paul” does good work.

He’s comin’ for his money!

Took the MDX out to the Oregon coast.

Nice pictures.
Is that 'duct tape' I see on the CT SC'er TB intake elbow?
Thank heaven for the young 'Big Pauls' of the world when you really need'em.
Hope that excessive mesenteric and EWAT adipose doesn't catch up to him, health wise, in the long run.

That guy towed my S class from Copart to the rental back in the day. He did a great job so was happy to hear his price was half of the snarky other guys.

I need to order a 3” to 4” 90 degree coupling for a four inch intake. It will breathe mo’ betta’.

Big Paul has lost a considerable amount of weight in the last five years.

Procharger is a brand of superchargers 😉. The one Andy uses is Rotrex 😁

I used Gorilla tape to hold down the rubber pieces of various sizes.

Gorilla glue was also used for concealment of anterior charge pipes, and sound deadening.

The car now idles so smooth! I had an inconsistent metallic rattle before.

But no more!

This new EBay knob feels good in the hand. The other one is short and stout. Odd for driving..

Rockstar, Please don’t curse in my thread.

I was being sarcastic, I don’t see the difference between the two products of like engineering.
A Kleenex is a tissue, a tissue is a Kleenex.
A Sawzall is a saw, a saw can be called a Sawzall..
I enjoy the word Procharger as much as Rotrex so I’m using it. Even if used technically incorrectly.

This is not an accolades and blessings thread.
Its a 3G Acura TL thread where I post my appropriate car updates and you guys tell me if I’m screwing it up or not. Your usually the optimist. Somethings happened to you in the last few months.

Perhaps you should start a progress thread on your car... or anywhere your
making progress.

Ya last summer I got inside a tight turn off and the buzzed F-650 truck towing a massive boat was trying to get into the moving lanes on the left, as I popped in he tried to pop out. His massive weight did that at almost no speed.

An Officer on a motorbike saw the incident happen, and pulled up as o shut off the car.

He asked us to follow him out of traffic, but I couldn’t get the car started. It just kept clicking because early on a genius recommended I install a 125amp cutoff switch. This was installed along with other parts so when the issue arose I couldn’t get to the bottom of it.

I couldn’t get the car started for 8-10 minutes.

I was driving around the area he asked us to follow him to and it seemed he was driving on the sidewalks looking for my car. When we made eye contact he looked at me like “AHA, Gotcha!”.

When responded with “Where is the other driver”, his bravado collapsed. He had let him go thinking I left, though he knew I was still on the bridge where he could visibly see me.

*you're

I do post in my progress threads. I also post anywhere else I fucking feel like posting on Acurazine.
But if the bad words bother you I'll be sure to try and curtail that as a personal favor to you. I'm sure Luther Campbell would be disappointed in me though.

You only like posts where the person is praising you, you glaze over a lot of questions or criticisms even if they are on topic.
Just an observation, maybe you didn't even realize you do it. So it does feel like a self serving accolades and blessings thread.

I also suggested you get this put into the 3G garage with a more generic thread for doing your own clutch or supercharging your own car to actually help others
rather than it be buried in a personal build thread. Know what I mean?

I can assure you you don't know me well enough to make a judgment on my overall demeanor in the last few months. Life is great and I'm happy as hell.
Don't take things so personally!

Keep the cool posts and pictures coming...just don't get egotistical about it! It is definitely a great help to the 3G community!

Be well,
J.

I'm serious about the 3G suggestions, there's some good shit in this thread.
Being able to do a clutch job without taking it all out is huge...so is all the trials
and tribulations of an at home mechanic installing and perfecting multiple supercharger
installs. I'd hate to see that get lost on just me, zeta and the occasional straggler, that's all.

I could probably figure out how to move this thread to the 3G garage and change the title to something people would click
for help with supercharging or clutch change with Ron's approval.
Are you okay with that?

I'd have to disagree. A tissue could be a Kleenex however a Kleenex doesn't have to be a tissue. If Kleenex descided to start making bed sheets, then the statement isn't necessarily true. Same with the difference of like engineering. To agree with that statement, you'd also have to agree that any 4 door sedans are Acura or that the TL is a Nissan maxima because of the "like engineering". Not trying to stir anything up, I was just genuinely correcting you with no ill intent but if you want to call it procharger, by all means go ahead. I call all cereal corn flakes despite that just being a style of cereal.

On the other hand, I enjoy this tread and your attention to detail 👌

Perhaps someday. I would still like to add to the thread.

I haven’t built the engine, bigger ‘Rotrex’ unit, Insane axles, BC racing dampers, wider wheels, better brake pads.

Haven't put the Comptech S/C onto a 3G 05-06 6MT. Still must install Port and polished 3.2L heads that are in the garage.

Yes sir, you are a busy guy!
Okay, well I'm not opposed to asking the higher ups for guidance if you ever want it done.
I do love your passion and inspiration...I remember being very driven to make DIY and share.
I'm a little older and maybe more jaded now but I still appreciate when I see it.

Procharger and Rotrex are similar, but not the same. I just did a lil’ research.

Spiter what’s your name? I’m Alex.
I wish you started a thread I could follow. I bet you’ve done some things to your GBP 3.5 Stage setup that I can learn from.

Nice to meet ya Alex. Im name is Piterson, or Piter (Peter) for short
Yeah of course, them both being centrifugal superchargers. That goes for rotrex, hks, procharger, vortech, ect.

And I don't have a thread, I have a page on instagram dedicated to the build where I post everything I buy for the build from what rods I use, to the specific boost controller and what my plans are.

Today is the CT SC removal day! Have to reinsulate the starter electrode, and repair the one part I rushed in haste to hear the S/C whine.

With this in mind, down the road of course, do you have either a PDF or hardcopy of the service manual?

I would gather you'd want to acquire one to have on hand (for all the important specs & torque values et al.) when attempting your future engine build.

If not, then you can most likely find one (PDF) on the thread below for free or pay:
