Glad you enjoyed the read! It’s been quite an adventure.
If I could redo the CT SC, I would get it professionally tuned from the beginning.
I have not dyno tuned it,so no numbers yet. But it’s somewhere in the 270-280whp range.
I still recommend this mod because it sounds so unique.
Andys Gerzy Bear Performance kit is even more unique. When you hear a turbo spool instantaneously followed by the blow off valve, it confuses people. Both cars are
lots of fun!

Rockstar you are totally accurate, All superchargers are belt driven, all turbos are exhaust driven, Superchargers can also have BOV's more common in centrifugal design sc's. I think Ohio was just saying it resembles a turbo that is belt driven. Both make for some fun times- Okay Im going to drink my coffee now-Gday

Rockstar, how you doin’ my man? Always enjoy reading your posts.
You doing any yardwork this spring/summer. I’m trying to make my place look like a resort. This way my family will be able to enjoy it more with everything manicured and taken care of.
Been so busy with the cars that I haven’t been able to harmonize them to the house.
Also recently purchased a manual Honda Accord for the daily and an auto for my stepson after he obtained his permit. Was happy to do so as he consistently gets no lower than a B+ In school.
After the yardwork and exterior housework is complete, I’ll change the clutch in the Rotrex TL. Then be able to do a real pull.
a few weeks back, I raced a gutted civic EG with a built B20 running E85 and a turbo @500whp+. I had an extra person in my car and still won. Clutch was slippin’ hard, but not as much as his wheels were. We only did roll races from 30-40mph.

I will make sure to do so. It sounds like it’s currently rubbing mostly metal. I can hear metal grinding when I give it a bit of throttle with the driver window down. :o
Should be okay right?
Tried to do a 2nd and third gear pull through a tunnel on the wonderful Gerzy Bear performance Rotrex kit, but the clutch just slipped...
Drove to Mexico the other day for a fourth gear pull. It doesn’t feel like it’s accelerating fast, but when I watch the video, it seems to pull pretty well!

OMG! that thing sounds like a beast.
Thanks for the videos. I can tell in your voice that you sound like a happy camper with the kit.
On the other hand, you may want to 'baby' it on any return trips to Mexico, just a little, if the above ' metal grinding' is occurring, lol. At least until you get around to the clutch replacement.
Have you narrowed it down to which clutch kit you have selected? You may have already previously mentioned it here somewhere, I forget.

Yes Sir! I went with a specific set of SPEC clutch and flywheel that is good for 679WTQ.
Should hold to 1000HP while keeping it he stock clutch pedal feel. It’s sitting in the garage waiting to go in.

The reference number is stated on the bottom left hand side of each product to make the best combination.
This combo was recommended to me by Mr.Gerzina, I trust his research and experience with the Type-S.

When you get it all buttoned up with that clutch then you can start challenging local CTS-V's??

Ive been waiting for that race for more than two years!!
He came home as I was writing this message, so I took a pic to put a face to my car nemesis. He’s a good guy and family man.

I can't wait to hear how that race goes.
I'm good, man...not much in the way of yardwork lately although we do have a little sanctuary in the back yard, so I understand that plan.
Sounds awesome.
Glad you're still doing well...
I'll know that step kid driving thing...it's coming for me next year.

The kids are 14, 11, 9, 3 so there's some time to figure all that out.
Probably the S4 though, at least for a while. Might pick up a manual V sedan when they get
down to under 20K at some point. Or hellcat if they get reasonable on price.
I like German though. A lot. And especially forced induction from factory.

Bought a K-Tuner shifter and an EBay shift knob.
The K-Tuner Billet aluminum make the throw 35% shorter and more precise. Will also look neat in the car(though it will be covered by the leather cover).
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/k-tuned-...a-tl-tl-s.html
Bought x3 more quarts of AC Delco friction modified MTF to get the 66.6% ratio.
The eBay shifter is what I believed was the perfect feel. Not completely cylindrical like the NSX shifter, a little more oval to place the underside of your knuckles on. Otherwise I have to flatten the top side of my palm and over curl the fingers.
None weighted to have more control of the gear shift transition.

If you drop the subframe will you be able to rig up an engine support and get the car up high enough to do your work like 6spd-GERCO below?
Putting time and materials into an engine support looks like it may save you a lot of 'disassembly' time in regards to pulling the engine? Maybe use some good lumber instead of metal box tubing or maybe Harbor Frieght has something:

I suppose you could; however, I believe, for safety's sake, you want to have a redundant 'static' device supporting the engine, rather than relying on the hydraulic cylinder of an engine 'hoist', especially if working under the car with the subframe out. However, if you can manage/utilize the 'brotha' way, that may not be as necessary? The call is yours.

If I lift the car on Jacks and use the engine hoist above the engine and emergency jack under the oil pan, there should be plenty safety net I’m working within the engine bay.
Good suggestions!
I may utilize the hooks into the ceiling 2x4s someday.
