Okay, I was looking around for something to boost up the power in the TL a little and I came across the supercharger . The Supercharger adds approximately 60-75 more horsepower ( guessing ) ... and it costs approximately $4,000 , or at least I can get one for that price. I was wondering what you guys thought about the supercharger on the TL . I personally think the TL w/ the supercharger would make a beast , I mean you don't see a TL w/ 335 + horsepower ever day . And one more quick question does anybody have the 1/4 mile times for a 2004 Acura TL ?

List of mods within next year:
1. A-Spec front lower lip and back lower lip with sides
2. Supercharger
3. Mirrored tinting

No the supercharger adds like 60 more horses, but it may be a while until I can get one due to I am still a kid.

 

Check out Dan....k post. He had one installed not too long ago. I think it added like 29 hp and was closer to 5k+

I believe it. I seen the increase on the numbers in your posts. You and ACCURATEin inspired me to getting it. First week of April and ill have it. Maybe the first Auto 3rd gen in NJ with procats and blower.

It's a fairly decent kit.

I've been impressed with it ever since it's been installed on my TL.

 

your 16, why do you need a supercharger?

 

just curious, what octane gas do you run to get the 100+ whp. How is the gas mileage after the supercharger for your daily driver?

 

I am pretty sure you still have to run premium the comptech supercharger adds 60hp for the auto and 65hp for the 6speed plus he is running additional mods hence the additional horsepower. I think i will buy me a supercharger myself. bklypanman correct me if I am wrong peace.

OK any one know if there is a supercharger out yet for my 2007 TL-Type S with a 6sp? I want to get rid of the 150shot nos I am running now and go to a trubo or a superchager kit. does comtech make them yet or greddy,hks who? with nos I am running 425 whp @ 1/4 mile 147mph. but this is only when the joice is hit. I want to have this much power without the juice all day long.what am I looking at price wise 6,000 -10,000 dollars what? if anyone knows could someone give me a shout out thanks.

If you are knowledgable enough to run a 150 shot on your stock tl you can figure out what were and how to s/c or turbo your tl. And you trap a 147 in the 1/4 on what your unicorn with a bbc on a two stage. Great post there charlie chaplin.

Better stay away from the wacky juice it is going to my head again hahhaha. worth of just some more crap to read. this will be my second and last post here for you all sorry to waste all your time. I tought this is a group of TL owners out to help eachother I must got the wrong group mixed up with some other group out here.

Wait, first it was 147 in the 1/4, now its 127 in the 1/8th, but with a 12.49? A 12.49 in the 1/8 is so slow, I don't even know what that is in the 1/4, maybe a 16? Something's not adding up bud.

As for your question, do a little searching. There isn't a Turbo charged 3rd Gen TL yet, and there are probably 300+ threads on the Supercharger.

dude. even with a 150 shot, you cant put down 427+ whp or whatever you said.. not happening... any 1/4 mile @ 147mph... would be... like.... 9~10 seconds i think ?

if your TL does that. post some pics and have everybody put their foot in their mouth... if not, no need to make stuff up...

i was @ a 7-11 few months back with my blackura, and some kid rolled in a stock 5at 3GTL... he told me he had a turbo, headers, special chip & nos and the car put down over 350+ whp on a dyno... ya cant fool us... we know these cars better then the guys @ acura who work on them....

the techs always just follow the instructions in the manual and don't use their brains, for the most part.

 

is 04 acura tl with 50k miles a bit much to throw in a supercharger? Does it make your car die sooner? Would it have any negative effect on my car? It also snaps acura warranty correct?

Well, to spell it out for the "mentally challenged".... Acura warranty runs out @ 50K so it doesn't matter than it voids the warranty.....Do'ah!

Placing more stress on an engine than it was designed to handle DOES wear an engine out quicker....Do'ah!
