^ Since it's unofficial, I'm going to chitchat .

Nice ET ACCURATEin!

You're good for some good LOW 14s / high 13s with those trap speeds .

no, I used Gtech Pro SS, it was 35 degree in the morning.

current perf mods I have is ATLP race pipe, ATLP J-pipe, Fujita CAI, UR Underdrive Pulley, Greddy Evo II catback.

I was very impressed about the 1/4 mile time and trap speed I got, it's hard to believe but that's what I got on my gtech pro ss.
I ran on highway 76 East.
I felt faster than this one the other day with traction off, but the result I posted is with traction on.

I ran a 14.51 @ 98.71mph, 2.4 60' bone stock, temp. was about 68 degrees. 1st time at the track and that was my second run, I think I can do at least a 14.3 if I get my 60' time down I'll post the time slip as soon as I get a camera

do you honestly believe you will hit 13.6 and trap @ 107mph if you brought your car to the track?? my fastest trap to date is 108 mph and thats SC'd, engine swap with all the bells and whistles in a car that weighs around 300lbs less than a TL.

my fastest time to date was 13.1 @ 105mph. heres my time slip, im car #305 in the left lane

this was over 2 years ago, when i still had my stock jpipe, stock motor mounts, stock 6spd tranny (no lsd) and before the j32a3 swap ive yet to duplicate this time though,. traction owns me at the moment and need slicks badly. DR's just wont cut it anymore.

if you guys can post some time slips, that would be great. i like comparing other things like 1/8 speeds and times too.

nope, I don't believe I'll hit 13.6 in track. but when my car was bone stock, 1/4 mile time was 14.28 seconds @ 98.5mph with same gtech pro ss. 3rd generation TL's curb weight is 3483 lbs for manual and 3571 lbs for automatic excluding 2007, 2008 models). and for accord coupe v6 models, 3398 lbs for manual, 3446 lbs for automatic
maybe I should take my car to the track sooon..

by the way when you swap your engine, where did you buy the engine??? just curious

and so it's not like accord coupe v6 manual is 300 lbs lighter than manual base TLs, it's more like accord is 85 + or - lighter than TL

For GTech, you need to remember a couple of things-

1. You have to put in actual race weight. Curb weight does not include the driver, the gas in the tank, or the giant sub box in the trunk.
2. Trap speed at the track is actually your average speed over the last 66'. With the GTech, it just grabs the speed at what it thinks is the 1/4 mile. As such, the GTech always shows a higher trap speed than the track would.

I like these things as tuning tools (although realistically, Dynolicious for the IPhone/Touch is nearly as good for $12), but you can't really compare to the track directly.

I went 14.4 @ 98 at Darlington. I can't get a FWD off the line good to save my life. Most of the runs were 14.7s with 2.6 60's. The 14.4 was a 2.4 if I remember right.

As for the G-tech, it is a great tuning tool, and they have improved on the trap speeds, but...

and the big BUT, is you have to be on a level surface for 1/4 mile. If you are going slightly downhill, that's a false advantage. I ran my previous car with the G-tech at the track and it was within 1 mph.

107 for an N/A TL is a bit of wishful thinking though. Must have been one heck of a hill, lol.

lol it wasn't downhill but yea like T HO said I don't think my car will hit 13.6 with such higher trap speed on the track.
and yea I sat the rpm right and put the actual weight of my car weighed on shop for gtech.
anyways great points

*sigh*

ok your right. you achieved to raise your trap speed 9 mph more with simple bolt ons, nothing else all i have to say is bring your car to the track and post some "real world" numbers so you can come back down to earth. i put money that you'll be hard pressed to break 100mph, let alone 107mph..... i love it how you post times in your first post, without mentioning it was done with a gtech i love this quote from you "I was very impressed about the 1/4 mile time and trap speed I got, it's hard to believe but that's what I got on my gtech pro ss." im not trying to be an ass, but you cant go by what that thing says all the time. ive had to many arguements about this subject with others. people are just too naive sometimes.

oh,.. and where the hell are you getting your specs on the curb weights from?? didnt know you had a MT, i was comparing it to an AT. accord V6 MT is 3285lbs and TL AT is 3570lbs. hmmm lets see, thats about 285lb difference according to my calculator. maybe your looking up 09 up accords??

and i bought the engine from a wrecked 06 TL with a whopping 2900 miles on the odometer. 2500 shipped to my door

TL tranny cost me about 1300 shipped

The GTech only gives you a good ballpark figure, but even that's not even accurate, if you were to justify the time on the gtech, you would need to make three runs and take an average.

Track conditions, temperature, and driver skills play a big part at the track. But realistically the gtech will never be as accurate as the track will.

Amen.

I've made only one run in the TL and I only hit 99.4 mph. I'm sure I can kiss 100, but not much higher without more mods. 107 mph is what Type-S 09 was hitting with close to 330whp.

This is kind of a redundant thread, too. There's already a long running one in the Racing & Competition section.

with the SC id say around 107-108 depending on conditions. on a nice cool day with a good 60ft (2.0 or better) thats good for mid to high 12's for sure.

60ft is the most important thing when it comes to the 1/4. hell, ive seen cars hit 12's with a trap under 100mph O.O

NO, you wanna laugh? the 2 cars ive seen that have done this feat was a 1973 datsun pickup and a 1970 something ford maverick

the maverick actually shut it down about 3/4 of the way down the track too. it was easily a 9 sec car.

Nice base to see where this car stands. Need to take my car to the track whenever I have the time. Need to swap out the 19s or just run with them. However they do have a good tire on them some bfg kdw =D.
