No one really can answer this question yet, not until someone drives both. I will probably be the first to do it on a 3rd Gen TL, and I will have a write up about it when I do it. 
Dont forget that the Dr. Evil tranny is alot of money,
If you go the route that I am = 1000.00 for a junkyard tranny
3700.00 for the rebuild

If you have the auto, I would go with the Dr. Evil tranny. If you want a new car, get it with the 6MT. To do a swap from the 5at to the 6mt would be hell. I think the Dr.Evil tranny would work great, the only problem would still be the tall 4th gear, unless he could do something with that.
